seriously im baffled
can someone explain why scar and srl mergeed or something like that
i kinda wanna get a better idea of what this srl thing is and does

SCAR is the actual program that is used to perform repetitive actions over and over (known as autoing, macroing, etc.). SRL is just an include for SCAR and, as far as I know, is the only one currently updated frequently. If you want to learn how to use SCAR and hopefully begin scripting, check out the Tutorial Island boards here on the forums.

i thought scar had the autoing functionality before the introduction to scar
so im wondering what made them go from that to adding on srl and ditching most of the main plugins it had when it first came out

SCAR has always had autoing functionality. SRL is the only maintained include because of just that - it's the only maintained one. The others were either left by the creators, became obsolete, or helped to create SRL as we know it.

You seem to not understand the purpose of SRL. It takes the simple functions or procedures in SCAR and uses them to make complex (or not so complex) functions or procedures to aid you in autoing. Basically, it just helps scripters a whole lot.

Whats the point of having a road without cars?

The program is a closed source and only Freddy develops it. And SRL is constantly changing because Runescape changes. So instead of changing the program every other week or so, its just the includes that have to be changed. Also the includes are way easier to work with then a program. The program and includes are TWO completely different things, but they are meant to work together… I haven't seen a script since that hasn't used SRL includes. There just isn't anything better then SRL (SPD excluded).

And you asked the advantage to having srl instead of a bunch of files to drive from?… SRL IS a bunch of files, its just compiled with a main one "srl.scar"…

so the srl is just a huge compilation of includes for scar
