I would not have noticed this at all if not that I left the runescape game applet up in my browser between 10 Central and 12 Central.

Somewhere in that timeframe, a hidden update occured to the Runescape game.

So, it told me I had to reload the rs applet to login, so I did.


And when I did, There was an AD on top. Thats right, and AD. And not just any ad… This one said that I should disable my ad blocker, as I was breaking rules.


This means that Jagex has:

a) Redone their ad-code, so Ad blockers no longer work (maybe integrated ads into the applet)

or

b) Can now detect if you are blocking ads

Tsn is right, and I still don't see any ads, only sometimes when I login.
But everyone already knew that.
Adblock still works I believe.

I block the iframe that they tell me that on =]

so can they detect or not?

I just noticed that, when logging in, it says: "Please wait 10 seconds while displaying the ad", but i could see nothing :p

I don't see any ad. I went and loaded runescape for nothing. *sadface*

The update was to fix a black screen on login some people had.

Or that's just what they say.. *conspiracy* :eek:

It doesn't fix mine :p A big black box is all the client shows after hitting the click here to play button for like 10 seconds.
