Firemaking isn't used for cooking food… Thats what the cooking skill is for… And I difinitly agree with you that it is a useless skill.

firemaking is used to cook food without a range.

Even Jagex said that the quality of log does'nt improve the chances of you not burning your food. So. Level 1 firemaking has the same effect on cooking ad level 99. Whatskeburt.

have you actually played runescape????

and that aint a joke

if you make a fire you can cook food on it, thats very usefull if you are stuck away from a range with uncooked food.

Firemaking doesn't really have any effect on the game. The only use for it I can think of is if you're training on Karamja, but it being a skill is pretty pointless.

Nope I have never played runescape, I just joined this site because I heard it was fun.

And Marcus made a good point, no one brings an axe+tinderbox+fishing equipment with them.

If you are far away from a range, then most people would bank the fish. O you ask" O well what if there is no banky?? Hmmm?? Answer that nubby" said your future post;). Then the person would most likely drop the fish or fish somewhere closer to bank.

And yes, there is almost always a range near a teleporting spot.
Firemaking = USELESS! I'm not saying that they should just take away being able to make a fire, I'm just saying take away the skill. And still be able to make a fire.

Well, it is kinda useless, indeed.
But, people like the skill, because it is fast exp and willows are not expencive to burn, so you can get a lvl 99 skill with it easily.
But, there is no other point for it:p

Strength. Not kidding.

My main account is pretty much only a skiller now.

Attack allows you to wield axes, etc. Range = armadyl armour. Defense = hit less and armour. Mage = Teleports, etc. HP = last longer when in the Abyss.

Firemaking was in no sence useless. It was pretty much a free 99. ;)
