Hey there folks, after a lengthy discussion with some people ive found out something quite cool.

Eons ago, when the include you call SRL was being developed, the person i left incharge of my epic include, Squig, decided to kill it and start SRL.

OR SO I THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!

Now ive learnt a shocking truth!

Dans part of the convo was copied and pasted from a convo he had with Starblaster100.



So as you can see, from the looks of things, without my knowledge i played a possible vital part in the creation of SRL.


Now, if this is true, then i believe that i deserve some sort of renumeration, such as credit…or at least a title.


What are your thoughts? :p

Lol, never meant for you to actually copy that whole convo from MSN :p But, now all of the procedures and functions are re-written, it is not mostly your work, except for the procedure name :p

Electricity doesnt use kites and keys anymore, but the guy who discovered it using those tools is still credited with its discovery

Use the same logic :p

LOL, if it was anyone else posting about this, i would say no. But the way you argue it… :p

But then you have to think about everything else in SRL, but i guess you're right where you should be acknowledged, maybe the admins will let you become a dev'. Who knows :stirthepot:

EDIT: Also, forgot one main bit lol, before people start flaming at me :p SRL is kinda of a community based thing, no? So everyone helps, and yes everyone IS acknowledged because we're a community. A team. A w/e you want to call it, it doesn't matter cause we're all in it together. (rofl at myself)

You have developed SRL, but it really wasn't the same SRL.

If you want to find Squigglyo from credits of a function, you really have to search a lot, almost everything has changed.

would still like to be noticed for the scripting inside the include or something. But i guese the only people that are gunna know for sure if Squig really did help give SRL that stepping stone to being made better are Fawaki and whoever else actualy started it with him :S

He has his rank and now he's gonna bag for his name in the list :) Lol.

Squig was used to slightly help SRL, but you were not the current developer of the include Squig, so why should your name be up there? Besides, all of these people have actively helped develop SRL by actually contributing code to the community under the include name SRL.

Very little was actually taken from Squig2.scar by Starblaster100 and whatever was taken has now been removed / rewritten. SRL is now its own include.

And anyway, who cares? You haven't been active for quite a while, and I thought you didn't like SRL anyways, and wanted to develop your own include again…
