Appeals are Automated

OK. Well I saw somebody on Sythe try tricking Jagex into accepting his appeal by appealing with the 'reason' being the exact message Jagex sends you when your appeal is denied. I decided to try it out. Here are my results.

(Btw, this account I do not care about and I pretty much just have fun breaking rules on it :) All while advertising SRL lol)

This account now has around 1-1.2 blackmarks, which aren't shown because of the deffered offence.

Offence #1 - Deserved, Jagex denied appeal, so they did what they're supposed to.

Offence #2 - Deserved, Jagex accepted appeal (Pics below), so they didn't do what they're supposed to.

Offence #3 - Deserved, Jagex denied appeal, so they did what they're supposed to.

Offence #4 - Deserved, Deffered (AKA Postponed, all of my offences , except #1, were deffered until I got the 5th)

Offence #5 - Not really deserved (Pics below), Denied within 3 minutes, so they didn't do what they're supposed to.

So now for pics of the interesting ones…

Offence #2

Evidence
(Rule 6 is Account Sharing/Trading)

(Said I was going to trade characters)

Appeal and Why it was accepted

Lol!!!

K, now for the one where I didn't do anything (Well, I was going to, but Jagex assumed that, I coudl have gone a number of different directions).

Offence #5

Evidence

As you can see, all I did was ask him if he knew what autoing was (Of course, the next step would have to advertise, but I never did anything did I? Btw, I got this offence for 'Encouraging Others to Break Rules'). So I sent in a reasonable appeal, which was returned 'Denied' in less than 3 minutes.

Appeal

So, in short, appeals are automated (Except for a rare case or two, such as when Brain was brought to court for saying he was going to commit suicide, and I think it was Markus that had posted a customized response to an appeal, saying something like 'Do not say these kinds of things in your appeal, because we can and will take action', or something of the like).

I'm going to keep accumulating blackmarks on this account, and see what I can make of the appeals.

Post your weird accepted appeals!

Explain what? The appeal? I copy/pasted what they usually say when an appeal is denied, then I sent that as my appeal. It might of tricked the thing into accepting it or something :p

ive had an odd appeal situation, i got in trouble for "account sharing" so i tried appealing and it was successful, then two years later, they gave me the black marks back and said i had commited the exact same offence, so i gave them the exact same appeal, except this time, it was denied…

evidence of first offence (note the offense date)

my successful appeal

first time was successful, second time was denied (notice the difference in offence dates between the two

evidence for second offence

my denied appeal…

makes no sense to me

Well maybe since the evidence was different for the offences. They didn't really have sufficient proof when you just said 'Want an acc?', but the second time they didn't say exactly what the evidence was, so maybe they thought they had enough to deny any appeal.

That's all assuming they read them though ^, which is not true in most cases :p

Racked up 3 more offences, total of 6.9 blackmarks, Red Zone now, & muted for 8 days. I have 4 appealable offences. Time for some fun :)

EDIT: I have 13 messages from Jagex lol :)

hmm. i have a theory…. jagex have macros doing the work (Lol, and they ban us) then the macros have a certain Amount of phrases set in before the "bots" realize that were breaking a rule….then we should all speak in 1337 speak and the bots wont realize that were breaking a rule…

Results are in!

Red - Appealed with sincere/BS appeal and got denied: 3
Blue - Appealed with denied appeal response and got denied: 2
Green - Appealed with denied appeal response and got accepted: 3

So it doesn't ALWAYS work, but atleast 50% for most offences. (I had another char with 5 offences, accidently clicked apologize on one of them, will check it now)

Crap..This one didn't turn out too well…

I knew that the appeals were pure bs, I am thinking of appealing by putting in key words to trick the system.

I think if you submit an appeal using most of the words from the denied response you have an 80% chance of getting success!

I don't think this proves that using the denied appeal response works for getting an accepted appeal. This just proves that the responses and chance of accepted appeals are indeed automated.

Yeah, I was mainly trying to prove that they're automated, but it seems that the denied appeal response has worked for me nearly 50% of the time, whereas, I have NEVER in life (probably about 20 total appeals) gotten an accepted appeal till now.

I'm guessing that there are keywords, and that a few, but not all, are in the denied appeal reply.
