I have decided to give Scripting Classes over MSN, we will have convo's..
NOTE: these are FREE!
i am doing a favor for yall beginners.
i got this idea from rynkrt3 i was teaching him RRW and he said i was doing a great job so i guess i can do a class. and i got this idea from NEXUS.

I was in his first lesson. He is amazing at teaching even if u just learned about SCAR this guy can teach you. He explains every step and why you would do different thing. If you want him to show u something a different way he will. Sign up for classes =D

The trouble is, I'm not really very good at SCAR at the moment ….. so I don't know if RadialWalking is too hard for me or not.

If you have more teachers, you can hold seperate lessons for seperate people. Since you have about 5 teachers, you can have about 7-10 students. The lessons can be private for people who don't know much, and the people who are reviewing can be grouped together with one teacher.

Oh, and btw. I would be willing to teach, just.. not at 12Central. At about.. 11-12 Atlantic Standard Time I would. (AST) Thats 12-1 EST.. 1-2 Central I believe?

Might be a good idea. I suggest having like 4-5 teachers and 10 students. If so, sign me up :)

Or just make a set time every day. Have a bunch of teachers so you always have some available, get all the students that are online at the time of the class, and depending on how many students there are, get a good amount of teachers. IMO there should be around a 2:1 ratio of students to teachers. Maybe 3:1.

Learning is only for non SRL members? What if I didn't get members because of my scripting abilities? :D I'll be a teacher for the more basic stuff but when to get to better stuff (like TPAs, if you're going to do those) I wants to be a learner ;)

Btw I have some ideas for this whole thing, but Im on my iPod Touch atm so Ill post them when I get on my comp.

Exactly! P1NKY, you need to expand this, not just a few teachers and a few students, but to a whole school :) Make a form for applying (for both teachers & students) and then you can sort them out by what someone wants to teach and what others need to know.

I'll make the forms for you if you like:

Teacher

What would you like to teach? :
During what hours are you free to teach? :
Would you like to teach a whole class (5 students), or just one or two students? :
Would you like to be a teacher helper or the main teacher? :


That's all I can think of for now..'Teacher helper' would be someone who isn't actually explaining the stuff and everything to the students, but rather explaining any questions students have, and maybe putting in a tip or two of their own while the main teacher is explaining the whole subject.

EDIT: K, so now you need to just compile a list of all the various scar/srl topics so people know what to say in their 'What do you know', 'What do you want to learn', and 'What do you want to teach' forms. Also let them have the option of making their own topic :) Then, let the registrations begin!

I really am only on in the evenings. Like 7 central time is usually when I get on, sometimes later. But I am usually on til like midnight. So I could hold alternate sessions then or something starting like Monday (I will be out of town, leavin tomorrow). But the whole noon thing, I am usually busy doing stuff lol.

Hi, Im playing runescape for 6years+1year break (4th day after break). Im Beginner programmer at Java and i know Pascal a little. Im 15 years old, English is my 2nd language, so it can be a little harder to point everything me out. The point is that I want to learn how to script in "SCAR" (I heard that its almost same like Pascal) to and help your community. Is it handy to have a base of other programming languages to start 'programming' in SCAR? Or isn't it needed?

i need some1 that can teach medium people i wrote a script or 2 but with the nooby easy stuff such as reflection i need to know how to make failsafes and ddtm im a medium scripter but i still don't use failsafes

Man i would love to learn! the problem is i might now be on at the right times, i think you guys should start holding classes again after the #29 release of srl, too many randoms now working at the moment. If one of you higher up guys want to see what randoms are working and which aren't drop by my Khaoz's Randoms Status Thread Here you will find a list of non working randoms, and specific details on why they are not working correctly. Post if you know of any other non working random i update very often.

As some noticed i am really busy, inactive due to RL.
