Apparently, when you open the worldmap, it shows approximately where you are in the middle of it, and last but not the least, the world map road colors match the minimap ones!

Now that the world map is about where you are, you can have an earlier made dtm on the world map of where you are, for example if you know that you are in the middle of the Varrock's mainsquare's fountain thing, your script can make dtms of the road to your goal dtm, without forgetting about you can scroll the worldmap, making deathwalk for long distances easier for example.

It was somewhere in the General News thread, and i think LeeLokHin discovered that the colours were the same. But being the centre of the world map was something some people didn't know :)

just an easy Idea to know if you are at lumby for example:

If FindDtm(lumbie, x, y, {bla bla}) Then
If (Distance(x, y, {your position x}, {your position y}) < 20) Then
Begin
WriteLn('O dear, you died...');
//walk back stuff?
End;

just an example, I bet you can use stuff like this for a thousand things.

(wizzup was the one already talking about the map)

If you find the difference in ratio then you could actually setup deathwalk to anywhere (just need end location DTM, Bitmap etc.) by making PathDTM's based on the world map colours and changing the x,y's for the DTM points by the ratio to make it accurate for the actual screen. Of course, you would need to find a way to make the world map only show roads as I don't think other colours match and large areas of road could throw it off, but it would be a good start.

Wizzup?

You can use this for a "lost" detection :). And maybe even random detection, aya?

Yes, but wouldn't it show up as black or something? Such as going into the Dwarven Mines and click on the world map, it wouldn't show?

Dungeons are made two ways, being a layer below the ground (like floors in buildings are made) or by putting them somewhere off the [visible part of the] map. So the map might scroll to the non-visible part (in which case it would now be visible) or it might mot show up like floors of buildings don't show up.

Didn't they already say they don't have a level -1? As far as I know, all dungeons and things like the ess mine are just stuck waay off the map.

Also, when you teleport to the gold mine (the one that you need a gold helmet to get into), if you look away from the middle you can right-click and examine a few things. I'm not really sure what that spot it is but at least it somewhat-proves it :p
