There are usually many reasons why people started autoing on runescape.
Some did it for money while others did it for the thrill of scripting.

Heres my story:
I have played runescape since classic and like many others i transfered to what was called "runescape 2" at that time.
I had many great times leveling my main all the way to level 110. After looking at my account with its 15mil i decided i wanted to make more.

I started looking into mage staking i created a very fine mage staker and after weeks of leveling mage and hp it was finally complete then there was the mind numbing challenge of doing DT with 94 mage 60hp and no other cbt stats.
After i had completed this i started the art of staking.
I started small with the 50-250k stakes and i was quite good i could get people to 3x me who were 20 level higher then me and win ^_^.

Then came the day When jagex removed staking…. I was furious! the month and a half i had put into this account have just been wasted! and i was only up to 11mil!

I decided i would get my revenge.
First i started auto-alching i had my account logged in for 2 days straight…didn't get banned.

I then started too abuse other jagex rules which i wont go into here but lets say i made a large amount of money in a short space of time.

The next day i tried to log-on and i was banned :eek: i then went to the mail to see which one of the rules it was for breaking. I started to laugh it was for telling a friend of mine a website address! i was quite relived then came to removal of the wildly and trading so my methods of money making became obsolete.

A few months down the line i found srl and have started a new account which i use for autoing and i would never look back.

And im still sitting here after breaking almost all rules with only 0.5 black marks :(h):

So my questioin to you is what drove you to start autoing? :sasmokin:

The mind numbing amount of steel bars you need to smith and the Boring monotony of training up your combat stats.

I orginally started because I was looking up guides, then I seen an auto smither and I was like :eek: gotta have that! After going up many levels I then though about using actual auto fighters, I used to be a bit wary of them but now most of the time im gaining levels whilst i sleep. :)

I'm not really into it for the money factor, just the skills.

yea when i started i used to sit at the computer and watch it auto because of fear of being banned! ^_^ but now ill just leave it running while i go out with friends of sleep.

I was just an immature 12 year old leecher… Then I came back because i got bored of legit RS and tried my hand at a script and loved it =)

i started because i was sick of playing by hand and i wanted to have a life lol

I wanted to live my life, without spending 100 hours on the computer.

I see no problem with it, i want to have a life :]

I was sick of the lvl 3 bots, so I went to look for my own bot so I could get back at Jagex for not getting rid of bots. Ironic eh?

Well for me I started skateboarding and I cant keep up with school, skateboarding, and runescape so I needed an easy way to level in runescape to spend little time playing it.

i got really bored of rs and i just wanted to get my stats up. and i wanted to do bh w/o having to level myself.

Wanted to make a decent pker.
My cousin told me about a autofighter bot, he got from like 50 - 86 strength, and never got caught!
I looked up on it, and i found sythe.org,
I found srl-forums from sythe.

In all honestly, i only autoed about 40 - 50 attack and 60 - 63 strength to begin with, =).
But that's how it all started.
I was finally brave enough to auto on my main, so i started using Hy's caver.
It was never really about the money.
Just the sick stats to make money via BH/Wildy.

Only recently have i been autoing for money.
IMO, i'd rather buy mills than auto it, takes too long :mad: (i have job so..)

Oh yeah, i also kind of wanted to have a life, instead of no-lifing Runescape..

Hmm, lets see now..

I think it all started about a year ago, when i was looking for a runescape bot, because i had heard about autofighters and all that.. Then i found a really bad auto fighter, and a woodcutter. They both ran for like 3mins then i had to check, and that became really annoying, so i started to look for something better. I found out about some site with scripts on it, but i didnt have any idea of how to use them. And all download links directed me to this site, so i joined it. I started out as a leecher (Since i didnt know anything) and then slowly started to learn more and more. And here i am, making my own scripts :D

Ok, I'm actually kind of lazy and I decided "hmm…why not auto? everyone else does it." So I did but the major thing that made me do this is that i got muted for 24 hrs (not much eh?) for telling some random dude in c wars "hey, I sold you that account on ebay, thanks for the $400 US" After I messaged Jagex that I obviously couldn't do that because of your so called "monitoring ebay" they sent me back a message within 3 seconds that said something like

"Thank you for your appeal.

We are sorry to inform you that this appeal has been denied.

We have conclusive evidence that you were in control of the account at the time of the offence and, for this reason, this offence will remain on your account.

We suggest you take some time to remind yourself of the Rules of Conduct before you start playing again!

So basically I was just saying to myself screw Jagex, their annoying as hell and are idiots. :)

I auto for the levels in runescape but mostly for the challenge of scripting :D

coz its boring and takes age to level up..

i think its obvious, why would you play legit when the computer can do it for you AND show you the best pr0n at the same time? ;)

My parents are real old school. There like 63 and 53. So I dod it for the thrill of getting them to believe that my computer was hacked. Just Kidding, I really hate the name "Jagex" so I plotted against them to try and take all of the good names in the game so no one would play! Auto Account creator ftw!
And I love To script. lol

i started just for the sake of it basically fun money this community was very helpful and was just what i was looking for!! etc

lol i first started autoing using sythes powerminer (i used it as a woodcutter rofl)

lol i started when i was sick of looking at my picaxe so i downloaded an rk autominer and got mining from lvl 48 to 76 in two days of non stopping autoing.i only got eight randoms.strange eh?

I started because every time my acc's got good they got hacked and fucking jagex kept saying I wasn't doing my recovery questions right and I was not gonna train it all myself again also I got bored with the aspect of spending hours training for others to just get frikin passed by noobs who have no life

i started 3 days ago, lol. just cuz i love to cheat on EVERY game i play. :D
Its fun having an unfair advantage over legits :P

Just started autoing runescape yesterday, before I botted world of warcraft a lot, got bored and decided to start botting runescape.

i started because i saw so many people with so much money and i also wanted some so decided to start autoing. i really wanted to get back at jagex for taking away pking staking and adding new stupid bull shit stuff like 3k limit per trade.

i have a lot of decent f2p accounts
that i want to be rapeage :D

I started out of curiosity. I guess i just want to take it to the next level.

After 2 months of playing and on my first time ever rs account I got bored and stopped. I didn't care if my account got banned so I searched for ways to cheat on runescape. after I while I stumbled on this website and started autoing right away leaving over night wc yews with zephyrs script.

It went from lv 70 woodcutting to level 89. Since I ran it day and night I got banned after like week and half.

Now I don't auto that much on that account because seeing that it almost has 91 wc it will be a waste to lose.

so yeah I started autoing because I stopped caring.

I started because I have long since quit and stopped caring about Runescape due to its incredibly boring and grind-y nature. Adding to that is the fact that this has been a fairly boring Summer so I decided to give it a shot.

i started because i wanted to get money and high skills

I started because my friend introduced me too it. He first introduced me to a pc script, and it was really annoying that he was getting so much exp overnight, while I was getting little exp during the day doing slayer. :duh:

After that I just wondered if there were anymore scripts like this and used a certain fightcaver till 124cb and 112 cb.
