SRL Archive - News and General

WELL, The PSU on my main computer(my quad core) fried yesterday. Now seeing as it was a junk one that came with the case I wasn't expecting it to be the greatest… but I did expect it to last longer then 2 months. So for the time being, I have booted my server on a Ubuntu Live CD so I can still have access to email and stuff.

I will try to get on as much as possible, I have already contacted the company and i should get getting a replacement PSU sometime tomorrow. So hopefully that works out. Also I can't bear to stay on SRL too long on this computer because the graphics card is kinda tweeked and messed up from over heating from running Bionic(:google:) at 100% for a month……

SO yea… kinda hard to see…

I'm quite sad but atleast i will have it up and running again soon so i can return to the forums and IRC :p

Yea and since it only lasted 2 months, they are upgrading me from Xion stock 500w to the OCZ StealthXStream 600W :) :) :)
Also cause they had no replacement for the Xion one in and I told them I needed it NOW.

I meant tweeked as in screwed up, not tweeked as in modified.
The one on my server you cant cause its a built on, but the one in my quad core i can, you can over clock it, adjust the voltage and clock speed of the GPU and VRam… pretty cool :)

Anways, I'm picking up the PSU tomorrow for sure! :)
