I just seen a bunch of people moaning about how the 'new' Runescape is rubbish and how their PC's lag so much when they play, How bad must your PC be to not even be able to play such a simple game ON JAVA?!

Actually it's not that simple game…the JAVA engine takes LOT's of computers CPU and GPU, think the rs developers have spent uncountable hours to make stuff(functions and procedures and that whole shit) to run little faster and better..when someone makes something like 2ms faster it's like woah..it's not that simple if it looks..
And I think nowadays you're able to run it on at least 1GHz and 256 RAM and 32 MB graphics pretty well..i'm sure you can't run it on like 300 MHz PC..you might did like few years ago, when the graphics were more than shit..but now they're been upgrading..even few months(some 3 or 4 actually, haven't played for a while, and i'm not going to aswell ), when I tried to play it on 256 RAM and 2.0 GHz PC, I got lagged out several times..

Yeah C++ owns Java like 10x, though I couldn't imagine running C++ app through web application(is it possible? Think not..), if you would need to dl it into your PC, it will turn like any other game, like WoW..and then it sucks, rs loses it's "harmony"..
