Quick way to test if your SMART is running properly.

After you complete the
Complete SCAR & SRL setup.Run this test script:
program TestSMARTLogin;
{.Include SRL\SRL\Misc\SMART.SCAR}
{.Include SRL\SRL.SCAR}
procedure DeclarePlayers;
begin
HowManyPlayers := 1;
NumberOfPlayers(HowManyPlayers);
CurrentPlayer := 0;
Players[0].Name := '';
Players[0].Pass := '';
Players[0].Nick := ''; //3-4 letters from name
Players[0].Active:= True;
end;
begin
SMARTSetUp('world38', True, True, False); {World prefix, safe mode, unsigned, RS-HD}
SetTargetDC(SMARTGetDC);
SetUpSRL;
DeclarePlayers;
LogInPlayer;
Wait(2000);
MMouse(388, 281, 3, 3);
Wait(2000);
MMouse(4, 100, 3, 3);
Wait(3000);
LogOut;
TerminateScript;
end.
It should, log you in, move the mouse twice, and log you out. If it doesn't run flawlessly then your SMART is broken or you're really unlucky and need to rerun the script. Otherwise if it does work flawlessly and you still can't get a script to work with SMART most likely the problem is the script and not SMART.
Happy Testing

:duh: ive been gone for a long while, but i just got back an tried to use my smart scar, and i kept on getting the invalid parameters message, but aftr reading this post and a few others i figured out that i had to change
Smartsetup(SmartPrefix, true, true, false); to
Smartsetupex(SmartPrefix, False, true, false);
figured i needed to add ex after Smartsetup and if u are autoing on a free world then u need to change the first true to false. aways leave 2nd true to true if ur autoing and the third option is if u want hi graphics or not, most scripts want low graphics so leave this to false. also um to make this easier for others, u can replace the smartprefix with the world u want smart to use, if u dont replace it then put SmartPrefix = aaa under Const then replace aaa with the world you want smart to use. i hope that helps others, i was lost for awhile. :rolleyes:

When I disable smart and switch to standard definition, the flashes stop, but the script still doesn't work, :\

Log onto RS and turn the graphics to fixed graphics in the options. That should stop the flashing and get the script running.

Also, make sure you're running the current version of SRL.

It flashes before my character logs in, and after the SMART client opens, nothing happens.
I just installed everything, and updated SRL from the file drop-down menu "Download SRL", but I still get the same results.
