How Long have You Played Runescape
since about 2002

Are you affilated in anyway with Jagex LTD?
No
—————————————————–
Please write down a paragraph about Yourself.

i have been making scripts for the past couple of months, i play runescape regularly and try to awnser as many questions as possible if i know the awnser.
i do currently have a low activity rating, as srl-forums has been down the past few weeks and i have not been able to make any thing new.

i have just left school so i will be active and scripting regularly till september when i will reduce to 1 script at a time, taking me about 2 weeks to create
i like comments on my work good or bad, as this helps me to develop future scripts
i am submitting my fallador teleporter script

thanks
ben

[edit] i have now added antirandoms (totally 4got :duh:), added a failsafe (only reli need 1), loops end aswel now
[/edit]

sorry no

read tuts all i got to say

oh yea another thing

dont lie about yourself

" have been making scripts for the past couple of months"

Aside from being too short, this list tells you what and where you went wrong:
  • No Anti Randoms
  • No Fail-Safes
  • Endless loops.
  • Memory being taken up (since you're asking it to load the bitmap every time).
  • Hardly any human movements.
  • Uggh, too much anti-ban.
  • Uses a bitmap that changes frequently (as in tolerance).
  • Too detectable.
  • Needs at least RadialWalk or AutoColour
There maybe more things, but those should be your priorities for a successful members application.

as far as i know the bitmap does not change although i have added a tolerance anyway, i have now added antirandoms (totally 4got), added a failsafe (only reli need 1), loops end aswel now

thanks for the informative comments, with this information, i can upgrade the script to a higher standard…although i think the script does work well

thanks

it doesnt matter if it works well, we look at the scripting style/effort/coding..

and you got barely any requirements , no walking?….

Daniel

2008-06-27 21:44:28

You also have a poor work of Standards.

p1kny,
correct me if im wrong, but hardly anyone walks around when trainin mage usin tele ?

Daniel

From: ben600006
dont start gettin personal, unless ive got it wrong, your calling me an idiot ?

An idiot? No way. Standards is a way of how neat your script looks. For example:
No Standards:
program New;
begin
dothat
repeat
thendothis;
until(false);
end.
With Standards:
program New;

begin
DoThat;
repeat
ThenDoThis;
Until(False);
end.
.

Way easier to read, yes?

ok, sorry for my mistake
edited above post

in the past half an hour, i have added to the script, please have another quick look

p1ky: i have been makin scripts for a few months, but they havent all been for runescape

Daniel

This script would still be a 'No', because you're using changing bitmaps which would lead to failing, also you can use the GameTab function inside of SRL to change tabs much more safely.

As to changing the script, you should not modify it anyway when posting a members application. The script you submit should be the best you can make so far, and once people have voted they cannot change.

sorry no from me

2008-06-30 18:59:08

If you have a function return an integer where the integer is a "DTMFromString," can you avoid having to free anything?

Sorry Ben, it's a no from me also. Dan nailed all of the problems except this: you aren't using the SRL Include.

There are no and will never be a single script that gets accepted if it's a teleporter or power[insert mining/wc/fishing here].

Oh god scaper, get rid of that siggy.

Edit:Nope, functions returning integers are no good. Too bad, that could've and should've saved a lot of space.

Clearly this is the best script i've ever seen.
Yes.

Sorry its a no

Standards were a dealbreaker immediately then i saw no srl include? It was also short. No sorry.

Cut em2 it

sorry, a no, not good enough yet :( srl members needs more then just the knowledge of how scar works, we wana see you making a kick ass script.

What factors do you need:

if you allready have some points don't mind them :)

How do we judge it?

looking at the code, standaards. and whe imagen if it's working yes or no.

How many lines of code do you need

I would say 300+.
Make sure you got fail saves for evry possible option that could be going wrong.

well….

I hope this helped ya. good luck scripting!
