Basically I looked all over the internet for a tutorial island script and I could not find one. This gave me the proper motivation to learn scripting so
1. I can stop paying for scripts
and
2. I can make any script that I want

So after spending a few hours on the site I definitely think a script like this is possible, but it seems like a LOOOOONG process. If I did this, would I be the most successful n00b scripter ever?

It's definitely possible, as there is a Tutorial Island running script currently available on SRL. However, it would take quite a bit of time and would probably not be the ideal script for you to begin working on as your first script. If you want to give it a shot, though, by all means go ahead and go for it. :)

yes there are a few tut island runners there not perfect
but there possile to make you can make basically anything for rs in scar

but a tut island runner onyour own for a first script is not something you should try

in my opinion you will fail miserably and it could put you off scripting

all the tut runners have been written by some of the best scripter
eg nielsie and most others are written by multiple people who have normally been here a year+

start with something more simple for example some thing that walks to a shop buys something and walks back

You Would be the most successful n00b it's rare to find someone who just Clicks right in to something get's it to work right away Scripting takes hours to make a script would prob Take days good luck tho :)

haha thanks for the advice. i dont think ill be doing it yet but eventually id like to do something like that, maybe a script that does a certain quest? that would be nice.

Zephyer's Fury did i believe.. I think his first script was his Rune Mysteries Quest Runner

Theoretically it should be easy =S NPCs are generally in the same place, you cant die, no randoms, and everything is always in the same spot (talking and etc) but I guess it would just take a while to do.

I think it wouldnt be that tuff. I wanna make a few scripts but after the SRL has been revamped after graphical update.

I've done a walking script, but a complete script would be pretty big. You would need to be a good scripter to not mess it up.

yeah, dtm's would be needed, and there are already a few scripts out there. Just make a few concept scripts that don't actually do much, and get used to SRL.

I am working on one, its flawless until smithing.
But yes, its a lot of code.
You need dtms, walking (make your own autocolor!), tpas, huge failsafes and so on. I don't recommend making one for your first script. But do it if you like to^^
