SSRL Release of Version 2

After much deliberation, I released a beta copy of SMARTv2 to SSRL for testing. I expanded the reflection api hopefully as far as will ever be needed, and provided a simple reflection include for the most basic Java based function, namely walking and animation. On its first release SMART surpassed what KYAB had done publicly, and was accepted by many more people in light of Jagex's plot to ruin cheating. One of the first major scripts was a Nature Rune Crafter by Wizzup and WT-Fakawi, which I personally used to craft 500+ natures. It demonstrated how SMART could take the mundane tasks out of scripting and let the scripter focus on automating larger, more elaborate projects. This is the state of SMART at the moment, and will hopefully move on at some point.

At the very least, a version of SMART with the frame rate slider should be released to the public, they have no idea how much they are missing. Then again, excitement is only manageable in small doses.

Why didn't you tell us directly Ben? :p
I still have version 1 with FPS. Shall I release it with #17?

Anyway, it would be pretty useless to deny that this section exists. However, you can still deny that you are a member of it.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I was right!!!
I told him about a week ago that it probably isn't a good idea to have Smart V2 on his wiki since its basically running of his home… its quite easy to find….

He had this for several months. ;)

I remember a while ago, in IRC, when Ben started talking about SMART v2 and v3. He doesn't seem to care if other people know…

Anyways, he has made v4, in my opinion is faster than the others. Loads Runescape faster and just performs better overall.

As long as he keeps his IP to himself, there is nothing much to worry. If not I have a feeling the rs-player named B…..D will be out of order soon :)

Anyway, as long as there is a hierarchy, there is life. SSRL has been announced before, not much to worry about.

I reminded him that he had stuff about v2 and up on his wiki a few days ago. I think he said "good call bullzeye", but never changed it.
Wizzup?, I don't think you should release it with the FPS bar. That would give jagex more reason to attack us.

Yea, IMO they are releasing a lot more anti color clicker stuff than usual. The last random, and check out this.

As for SSRL's secrecy, there are couple stickied threads explaining it's existence, but not it's members or all the benefits. The worst that could happen is people trying harder or hinting for the wrong reasons, but careful nominations should be able to see through that, especially if we look at their behavior before this.

meh. that was the first thing i told yakman the first time i went in. he told me the channel was protected with some secret mode.

but i heard freenode changed things around a bit. maybe it's since then that this is happening.

About the graphics update Boreas posted about, remember that it's an additional detail mode, nothing will be done to good old low-detail (nor high-detail) :)

The more expensive your internet package, the more change you have of getting a static IP, lol, epic fail :)

about the #ssrl,
i made it +s (secret) when i first created it, so it doesnt show up on /whois or /list

it was +s when i got back in today
i tried whoising yakman_ with another account today, and it didnt show up, and looked for it on /list

i dont know how it happened, but iv got two theories,

chanserv has a feature called MLOCK, where certain channel modes are locked and if an op tries to change them, they will be changed back,
+k was already locked, but +s was not, so its possible someone on #ssrl removed +s

also, when freenode restarted their servers or something like that, it might have gone back to -s

who knows,

but now, i added +s to the chanserv mlock,

oh by the way, i checked /cs getkey #ssrl and it doesnt work for everyone, so its good there

Everybody loves Ben :p

I think a lot of people knew about SSRL anyways… after all, there is an official thread. Ben is just the newspaper-boy :p :D

I don't think SSRL comes as a surprise to anybody… They know nothing more than we exist. So I hope :p

well as one of the most recent members of SSRL, i can say that before i got in was that you guys existed, helped with forums decisions.

i was also pretty sure you'd have to pass by here to get any dev / mod status and that ssrl could give infractions.

(the pass by here thing i realized because of Special Ed, N3ss3s, Markus and Zephyr who i was sure were SSRL, and infraction thing i realized from sporkys infractions)

as you can see it's something, but not much.
