There has been some recent declining in the attitude towards fellow members at SRL over the last few months. It has to stop.

I don't know if any of you remember the last major reprimand you guys got directed to you as a whole but here is what it said.

I know we all get tired of certain SRL-Member applications.

Taking this application for example:

Even though he tends to swear alot, that doesn't allow us to swear.

Don't let ignorant appliers like these reduce our moral standards.
Don't get dragged along with his swearing, and bad attitude, try not to swear at all, it leads to nothing but trouble.
Please report these posts using the Report Post button (or PM me), rather than swearing.

Now after that was dealt with it improved greatly… Now the general attitude is back on a decline. There is constant insulting of other SRL Members, unacceptable posts, and just pure spam. The most disturbing thing is that you feel you are above the rules. Well here is a news flash…
You're NOT

Some of you believe just because you are an SRL Member that you won't be infracted for breaking the rules. Well as it turned out some of you just learned that is not the case. Just because your name is yellow it does not mean you are in and infraction free zone. Now that's not to say there isn't less leniency for SRL Members then Jr Members and Registered Users, because there is, but that doesn't mean you can do anything you want.

Actions have consequences… Such as those people who lately made this avvy have found out.

Now only two of the people had received infractions because i only saw two and they were reversed. But I talked with Wizzup? and he has seen my point of view and agreed and said if I want the infractions put back they will be. But I think those two have learned that they are not above the rules.

Now, the way some of the handled it was greatly disappointing. Some responded in the connotation that they are above the rules and HOW DARE I reprimand them for breaking them. You may think your cups or you colored name makes you special… but it doesn't. We are ALL bound by the same rules and we must ALL obey them… or you WILL be infracted if need be.

As for the rest of you. Take their folly as a lesson. THINK BEFORE YOU DO!
We are a community and we all need to get along if it is going to survive. Things are going to become a lot more strict around here if you guys don't smarten up. So SMARTEN UP

I infracted everyone i personally saw having the avatar. Dev or not.

Hobbit, GoF was complaining earlier about being the only one infracted, and that the dev's had theirs removed.

I learned, long ago, that it is better to keep your feelings to oneself. This way you have a better chance of advancing in life. There are, of course, exceptions but these are not many and should be approached with caution.

Glad that you brought this to attention hobbit.

I'm a little astonished that this would even be an issue in the first place. We're expected to display a sense of maturity and experience on the forums to pose as role models for the junior members, and having avatars that say "Fuck Harry" doesn't really accomplish either of those goals. I've also witnessed some bickering between members on the open forums, (I realize this was all in jest, or at least I hope) which is kind of surprising.

Basically, I think we all need to step up the maturity level to a level that was and should still be expected of us.

Was that avatar directed on Hy71194? And yes, attitude has risen over the last month. We have a good reputation, don't ruin it! I mean, also what was the point of that avatar? It proved nothing.

the "fuck harry" avatar was a joke, markus GoF n3ss3s and I didn't know it was such a big deal and that we came "above the rules". Though I'll never ever do this again… sorry for making this trouble.

I deleted those avatars as soon as I saw them and the ones I missed were around a little longer. Didn't want to infract anyone before we discussed it but IMO everyone that had the avatar deserve an infraction.

It's your choice, I prefer not to use cuss words and I was just pointing out to Hy71194 that it is a cuss word.

Wow.. I personally never saw the avvy, but it is a tad immature. I think situation has improved after reading the posts… Everyone is talking all polite and respectful to eachother :)
