SRL Archive - S.M.A.R.T. Questions and Answers.

Ive downloaded a lot of SMART scripts and each one doesnt run. The problem may be that i dont know what smart is and how to run it. Could soembody please tell me what it is, how to use it, and is it worth it? it certainly sounds like it…. =P hence the name… smart… like a human :)

what happens when you try to run the script? be a little more specific besides it doesn't run. Do you have the includes downloaded? is SmartSetUp in it before SetUpSRL; in the main loop? you update your worlds.ini folder? those are a couple common things I see, but I can't tell which of those it is or if it even if one of those problems without knowing more.

Does Smart and Scar close on you? then it's probably your worlds.ini folder

if the debug box says your missing SRL/SRL/Misc/Smart.scar then you need the includes

or hit control + F in the script and look for SetUpSRL; then above it see if it says something about Smart, might be something like this:

SmartSetupEx(SmartWorld, False, True);
  While Not SmartReady Do Wait(100);
  SetTargetDC(SmartGetDC);

if that doesn't solve your problem let me know and tell me what happens when you run the script.

Include file C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\includes\SRL\SRL\Misc\Smart.scar does not exist.

Include file C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\includes\srl\srl\skill\WoodCutting.scar does not exist.

you need to download the includes, if you have scar 3.15 I think you just go to file > download includes. If you do that and still get the error saying you don't have the includes then use the search button on how to get the includes.

Download SRL (Search 'HowTo' and click the one on preparing to auto)

aright, every time i try to run a smart related program, it starts the program and sais setting up smart. Then it gives me a message "could not initialze SMART. Error Code: [16711422] i looked at wizzup?'s tutorial and moved the embedded smart.dll to the includes folder and what not. What does the error code mean, and how do i stop it from doing that?
