so, before i came to america, i knew what pokemon was and how popular it was.
i havent always been a fan, as you might say, but over the years i came to appreciate it, because people at nintedo, do in fact try. of course then i grew ut of it as years whent on, and recent release of the diamond and pearl versions gave me an idea. i have conducted a little reaserch, and what i know so far is, there are a few "pokemon online" contributions, but none that have the experiance of say, srl developers.
the only way to play pokemon online thru a pc, is one of those, incomplete replicas, or thru vbal and hamachi.

perhaps, some developers from this community are interested in making an online pokemon game (possibly thru scar-in do realize that would be a pain in the as, so a 2d game suite) encorporating all the games (main games which exclude mystery dungeon and explorers and rnger and what ever else) into 1 (pearl and diamond would be reconstructed in 2d)…im not much of a programer or scripter however, so comming from me its a little wiered, but i for one could do my part in the least as to provide most if not all sprites.

i dont exactly know how to make this, its just a though, but im saying if anyone knows how this would work and can cntribute, just let me know what sprites tiles etc u need.

so come on you old pokemon fans, im sure some of you used to be, make an online revolution (ps nintendo said it was ok as long as we dont profit in anyway) -so ive heard.

Blasphemy! Pokemon is the best game nintendo ever created. They've become crap the the older ones were good. As far as i know StarBlaster is still working on his SCAR version of Pokemon, in which a multiplayer-online idea was suggested to him.

anyways, just from googling "pokemon online" it seems there are already online pokemon games :)

Most of the pokemon games are battle-orientated rather than RPG orientated so it gets annoying if you're looking to do anything other than fight random encounters or fight friends. An online Pokemon game would've been great for them though as they could really experiment with ideas on new pokemon, type flaws etc. with minimal effort (past the initial construction of course) and SB was making a pokemon in Scar with possible online play in the future, though it was coming along nicely not sure how well now though.

I remember seein a pokemon site, I even registerd, you went in the grass and looked for pokemons to catch, u could just catch

as far as i know SB was doing it alone. And Pokemon Crater used to be a good one apparently. But it got shut down by nintendo

no crater went offline cuz the developer went to college, for what i know, and ive seen many nintendo letters allowing people to make fan games as long as there is no finacial benefits. but if it became somewhat big could possibly have a contract with nintendo??

i never really cared for pokemon but i used to see comericals for pokemon and tv shows.. now i dont ever see anything to do with pokemon.. i see alot of those webkins .. how stupid are those….

a real Pokémon game would include this: First it would be a .exe second it shud be pass protected, third it shud be private so damn Nintendo dun come and shut ya down

all those are right, except i rather have nintendo shut me down instead of doing it behind their back. and like i said a million times, the wont do anything if makers dont get $$

There are a few pokemon online games, just the vast majority of them are just like normal one with the npc's being other characters. There's very little that you can do other then walk in grass, catch pokemon the use them against other players.
