Do you know how many people's lives might be ruined if they were forced to take care of a baby?

Well, I guess it doesn't matter… Sometimes knowing you killed someone *snap*.

my cousin did it…

she was 16, now her and her boyfriend are both in college and have a beautiful 3 year old…

if you really cant take care of it, give it up for adoption. if you dont want a baby dont open your legs

i couldnt watch the video though, youtube says something about being over 18

i find it so intresting how you can defend the life of a "baby" to the hilt, but you have no quarrels against destroying a fully-grown adult life.

btw, who actually said "abortion is cool"

Adults have already experienced life to some extent, whereas a baby has never experienced the ups and downs of life. Babies have more potential than a full-grown adult.

dude… abortion is…. not a good thing, but if u cant take care of the baby, do it!
My class mate is 15 soon 16 hes had a baby now for a few months. His life is destroyed, he wont be able to do the stuff that he should be able to do when hes a teenager.

abortion isnt right but then again, will you bring life to a child that you cant take care of?

i know there are things like adoption and fostering but still…

you should have the right to have an abortion.
dont have sex if you arent in love.
you may think your in love but if your just going for sex it isnt love.
if your in love sex is something you do to express it for each other, not just a feeling.

shit happens guys. if you fuck up you should be able to have a re-do. why not (not) have a redo if your able to eh?

Rule Number 1 in my book: Don't have sex if you aren't ready for the outcome.

adults have a well developed nervous system, much more developed then a fetus, they can suffer much more,
adults will leave behind many hopes and dreams, orphaned children, a distraught widow,

let me put it this way, if there is a situation at birth where the fetus and mother cannot both live, doctors will always choose to abort the pregnancy and save the mother,
many normal people and even some pro-life people will say they'll save the mother

my point is, adult life is worth more then fetus life.

another thing, do you realise how little human life is worth anyway?
every time you take a breath, thousands of other people are taking their last breath, death is everywhere, it cannot be measured, one or two more deaths makes no difference

if you are really so pro-life, why don't you go and help with those deaths, send money to children born to poverty who wont see their first birthday because of dirty water,
help the people in countries that have war,
help the people who's parents are drug addicts,

each of these people have a massive potential for life,
but you dont care about them do you, otherwise you'd do something, so dont go telling me you want to stand up for the lives of babies.

iv made two points here, now respond.

but, you should know even with birth control theres always a risk of having a kid. if your not prepared to take care of the kid, you shouldnt have sex.

I am neither for or against abortion. However, I found this really interesting post on a student forum about a 21 year old who is in university, and didn't know what to do when she got pregnant:

From: Girl at TheStudentRoom.co.uk

ok guys. I went back to the clinic today and the nurse I spoke to was fantastic. We spoke for a good couple of hours and she went beyond her duty and told me what help I could get should I need a child and what support i can get if I terminate.

Me and my boyfriend had a long chat last night, i spoke to my family and I decided that as much as this child would be loved, I just cannot care for it the way I want.

I'm 200 miles away from home so the option of going back to my family.. well it isn't an option because there's no way I'm taking the baby away from it's father, plus my parnts have already spent the last 35 years raising 5 children and I couldn't face sharing my responsibility with them.

Also with my boyfriend working 40 + hours a week it would mean Im stuck in a flat with a child and he said he wan'ts to be there, not stuck earning money for a child he will hardly see.

We are both trying to persue our careers, and if i had a child at uni then it means i could be studying for my degree for another 4+ years…i'd be 25 by then and in all honesty even at 21 i feel i'm just too young to try and forge a family with a guy i've only been seeng for 6 months.

I've really had to get over the romance of it all, i love my boyfriend and as much as I would love to further our relationship it's something that will take time, and forcing him to be a father when he isn't ready i feel is going to damage that, and the thought of being a single mother petrifies me.

Again i would like to stress that we did use protection so it wasn't like we were shying away from responibility, this just happened at the worst possible time. I know after university if we wanted we could have a child, but for the time being we are trying to sort our own lives out before we take on the responsibility of another.

In the long term I really do beieve this is the best option for the 3 of us. By no means is this child unwanted or unloved, in the last few days i've got used to the idea but i've had to face facts. I just can't do this right now. I really wish I could tell this life that it is loved, and by no means was terminating its shrt life an easy decision. I have never been so torn between something in my life.

As for all these antiabortionists…. trust me until you are in this position you have no idea what you're talking about. I always vowd i would never do this, but until you experience it you have no idea what you will think. I'm thankful i had the choice because i could never live withmyself if i'd brought a child into this world knowing i could not support it or be the mother i want to be.

it's taken a lot of thinking, crying, talking and speaking to people who know a lot more than i do to come to this decision. Im nervous, scared, guilty but i know in time i will understand that I did this for the right reasons. I never wanted to treat a termination like my only option, or use it like contraception. I've explored all my options and now i feel my mind is clear and I'm able to go through this for the best.

I've always been of the opinion that one unplanned pregnancy is enough and i know should I get pregnant again it will be for the right reasons and I would never consider a termination again.

As of now, i have to wait until tuesday to make an appointment at the hopital for my initial examination and then go ahead with a termination. It will be a couple of weeks, and before anyone jumps on the bandwagon and tells me how developed the baby will be… i already know. Had it been any later then i would be reconsidering my decision but it's really early days and the nurse has informed me the termination will be medical (i.e the tablets, not an intrusive operation).

Anyway, for those that have offered their support, again thank you so much. Please if you have nothing but negetive comments, leave them to yourself, i guarentee it will be nothing that hasn't already gone through my mind a million times.

And before you say something along the lines of "OMG, she's only been dating the guy for 6 months," remember that they are living at university together, basically seeing each other 24/7. That speeds up your relationship 100 times over.

I know this because I have been dating my girlfriend for 6 months now, and I love her to bits.

wow while shooting this vid i would be crying my eyes out…@starblasters article, she is really only thinking about herself, she isn't thinking of this future child, and while i will never know what kind of decision that must be, i would ask my parents to take care of it until i was ready and out of uni, but really your best bet is to always use protection/be on birth control or just not have sex…

That's stupid. Adults have to deal with 9 months of boredom, and one day of painful stretching - then another 18 damn years of whining, laziness and credit-card leeching.

Saying babies have more potential is just over-stating it. They only has more 'potential' as you put it because you can turn them into anything you want. Their so-called potential will apparently be wasted until they hit 18 years of age, and decide to get a job, sitting on their asses at a cash register typing out numbers. That's potential for you.

And yes, adults have experienced life. Babies, in the early stages, are just a indistinguishable collection of cells with the inability to breath, think, feel, and so on. I, however am against abortion when the baby has developed a brain and can think, because it can actually be considered murder.

The 'they haven't experienced life' argument only works for humans who actually realize that there is stuff to be experienced - that is, people who have a developed brain.

If abortion was made illegal, it would just kill the mother and the child.

Sometimes the real parents dont even skip out on that kid and actually hang around, it is a good viable option, there are lots of wanting parents who just cant have kids…

No, you are wrong for saying it is totally the parents fault. Without an abortion some people would even commit suicide because of all of the 'rumors' and w/e. What I did mean though, even if illegalized, it would still be performed but with much lower standards most likely having effect on the participants health.

You are also wrong for practically blind-supporting a view. You probably have never seen what would and could have happened for each side of a choice.

seriusly tho abortion is good to be there

imagine this scenario 14 year old girl has just keft her matews and is walking through a park some 50 year old pedo jumps her and rapes her

she gets pregnant

wwith out abortion she would have to bring up a child that reminded her of the guy hu attacked her every time she looked at no one could love a baby that was concieved in such away as another so abortion is a good thing

but it shudnt be abused by sluts

Everyone says "oh just put it up for adoption" but our adoption system is already overfilled. If a woman gets pregnant at 16, sure, abort the baby. That way she'll be able to have a kid at 26, and actually be able to support the kid finantially and emotionally.

Edit: sorry about bumping a sorta old thread, but making a whole new one about this seemed dumb

ok well like a previous post said, what about people that get raped, that’s not a nice experience and I am sure you don’t want to be reminded of that moment every time you look at the child.

also what sick person would make a video like this to me it seams like they are just playing with the parts they found, that’s just not right.

until you are in the position you wont know what you would do, so for all the under aged people talking about it being wrong and not allowed, don’t talk about things you don’t know about.
