The dog likes to follow me when im burning fire wood if i don't talk for a while. I have to shoo it away?
It makes me suspect that its a bot catcher…but when it follows me its so obvious so i just shoo it away.
This is why jagex fails :)

Most people don't bother with the dog, especially if they have something to do. But try feeding it some raw meat for fun.

It's an interesting theory, but I highly doubt it is a bot catcher. It will follow anyone around. It just follows you around because it's begging for food. If you give it some bones you'll unlock a Varrock achievement.

In Varrock? That is a VERY old update (about 6 months ago) a Stray dog randomly follows people around, you should use bones on it, then shoo it away :)

I didn't know you could feed it meat, I only knew about bones, but yea, this is extremely old, unless the one person was thinking about summoning with pet dogs.

I have never shooed it away so it would be a unfair botcatcher in my opinion.

it's obviously a hacker trying to get your a/s/l and is probably a 40 year old man . No but seriously, this has never occurred to me. If it is true, Jagex is a bucket of phail sauce, giving us the option to get rid of it.

This idea is so stupid it actually made me smile.. I think jagex can do better than put some childish dog bot-catchers outside varrock -.-
