About 4 months of runescape membership (if you play 24/7) only 1
iron full helm
iron plate body
iron kite
iron plate legs
green dragonhide vambraces
fancy boots or fighting boots
mystic mud staff
air staff
1k (1000) mid runes
450k (450 000) body runes
1 magic

total price: 8500k (8500 000gp)



^ This isn't my guide i copied it off. I just want to let you guys know its 5.8 m because body runes are now 9 gp each (GE) not sure how much mud staff cost atm.
So if mud is regular price (1.7 m) + 450k body runes will = 5.75m
So even better now…instead of 8.5m its only 5.75 m

So curse stuff with full iron on so it splashes? =/ Takes FOREVER.

AFAIK, high alching Yew Longbows is much faster and you don't loose as much as this.

I suppose it's a nice, quick little tip.

Have you tried this out? Or is this with calculations and approximations?

Anyways, it's worth a shot. Earlier today I was calculating 65 to 99 magic just using mind and air runes. Hahaha…long and tedious.

i calculated 82 to 99 needed 500k so about 4.5 m

ya I tried cursing once….ddint work lol
alching is way better and more convinient

Your forgetting something.

Once you have done everything and gotten 99 mage, you can RE-SELL the staff for that money back, so even CHEAPER!

lol… not really a guide…. didnt even tell you what to do…. cursing takes way to long, HIGH ALCH… but first to get there curse :D

as soon as you can alch it's free to get 99 mage just look around and you will find items that you will make money alching with I found one and alching became more efficant for me

You know what? I did. You have been spamming for the past half an hour with no abandon. And probably will get your post count resetted too. You have been double posting and managed to test 3 scripts, one of which I think is outdated, in a space of 3 minutes.

Anyway, great guide. It's just the Membership bit that bothers me. Maybe calculate what you need without the mud staff? Using earth staff and water runes instead?

i thing high alch of green dhide body makes equal profit as much as use of nature runes, so u can be free lvl 99 mage after getting ur magic to 55. I am just now 65 mage, reached 60 to 65 doing high alch on dhide body, and adamant chainmail.

OK, i kind of laughed when I read this because, yes you told us what to buy and what requirements are needed but you never once told us what spell to use…which makes this a half finished guide…

But at least you tried, no rep but you get a "nice try"

lol and where would you auto? i mean like where there is no people, no ranging monsters….

i know the zamarock monk at varrock castle.. but alot of people pass by.

Sorry dude but im pretty sure this is an extremely tedious way to get to lvl 99 magic and its not a very good guide either. Next time think it through and make the description for the tut more detailed

You do cursing? you try to curse monsters and you will fail every time so you can just keep on cursing one monster…..

alching is better..

cursing a monster seems a really slow way to get magic exp =/

I might consider trying this method as I'm using high alching now I'll try it out some time :)

what item did you use? i know that sapphire and emerald braces actually profited if you alced t hem… green dhide bodies did at one point too, but idk anymore because of ge?

good guide, not so much a tutorial… this is probably most useful for strength pures in low level craters that dont want to get hp exp while getting mage up enough to rush/blitz.;)

Which is why it's so cheap. You can't get cheap + fast XP now days. You could just bot it, easier.

lol has anybody noticed that hes talkking about curse and i know for a fact that that isnt available at level 1 magic

You can also make money while getting your mage up, using the mage arena and by enchanting orbs. Major boredome without script assist (coough… robotz)

i rather prefer alchemy, i got 17m exp of mage from alchemy but only if u got enough money for it

cursing is one of the cheapest ways to get up magic
the staves are about 350k-400k now and bodies are still cheap. its about 2.5 curses for the exp of one alch

Another idea is just to use curse on the magic dummy in lumbrigde. Even if you curse him, you will still be able to continually do it. So it could be a nice bot to make.

I got 99 mage … 94 -99 u do alchs lol:P

its an ok way to do it however the fastest way is get 45 be a member cast camelot telle till 55 then high alch your way to victory

You can get faster and more profitable mage exp in the MTA or by buying orbs and enchanting air orbs. I plan on making an enchant air orbs script one day, but this will have to wait until I do not suck.

High alchemy is the way to go. Cursing takes forever. High alc is easy, just go your house and auto click till 99. Less chance of being banned.

Or you can go to w144 bank at PC isle. No one ever really talks to or even notices you (considering there's quite a few at that bank at any given time). No randoms is an added bonus. :P

I'm sure i've seen this guide elsewhere. Oh well thanks for the help! I am looking into getting 99 mage and perhaps with scripts on here i can do that

dunno what you guys complain about if you can auto it and it is a real cheap method and is average 60k exp an hour on a good run it is real good

btw mystick mud staffs now are 79k :o

There is no profit when you high alch, only items that lose the least money. If there are any items that actually provide a profit then it's price would shoot up before you could really get any due to the item cap (only allows you to buy X of an item per hour) or then there was a mistake that jagex made, but will be shortly fixed.

Hmm this would be good if you have a trumendous amout of time to waste and you are not willing to lift your pinky for it ;)

this could be one of many options I would take for a 24\7 afk bot :p

But I still like the Idea, don't get me wrong.

Maybe if you could up with a diffrent approach then just cursing, because when your high alch it takes less time even though to high alch you need 55 magic.

i suppose you could get an auto for it to take less time. if you did it youself it would get extreemly boring after like 40 mage to be honest.
