SRL Archive - S.M.A.R.T. Tutorials

If before your smart was working perfectly and now it is not working, it probably is your worlds.ini outdated. So let's update using FAWG (Freddy1990's Advanced World Generator).

FAWG: http://www.freddy1990.com/fawg.php

Download the FAWG and install.
Run FAWG.exe

The program shows:

"[14:28:14] Starting world retrieval process.
[14:28:16] Retrieved updated worldlist."

Go in Options and Select Activity, click Save.
Now close and run agai the program.

The program shows again:

"[14:28:14] Starting world retrieval process.
[14:28:16] Retrieved updated worldlist."

Now click in the arrow down between "Options" and "Parse Output", select "INI File Parse" and click "Parse Output"

It will shows:
"[14:36:01] Parsed output file using: INI File Parser
[14:36:01] Saved file as: Worlds.ini"

Now close the program, go to the folder "Output" located in "FAWG.exe" folder, copy "Worlds.ini" and paste in …SCAR X.XX\includes\SRL\SCSS replacing your old "Worlds.ini"
Try to run your script. =)
[BANANA]Happy autoing![/BANANA]

Rep++ pls? :bart:

PS.: Sorry for my bad english, im brazilian. I just wanna help this community =)

Edit: i will paste an updated worlds.ini (2/5/2008 at 14:36:01)

THANKS SO MUCH!!

Smart worked for 1 and a half weeks then it successfully compiled then crashed every time. NOW IT DOESNT. thanks so much, well back to autoing…

+ rep if i could, but i cant :(

thanks
Codester93 :spot:

didnt work, file doesnt appear in output folder >:

Thx, i needed this.

i'm gonna try this right now, thank you.

thanks man! i got it to work now! finally!

And if after updating your Java and your Worlds.ini file SMART is still being a smart-ass (No pun intended :p ) then re-download SRL using the "Checkout" option in the "options" button on the "Tools" drop-down menu - works like a charm. :)

Wonderful guide! Thanks for taking time to put this together to help us all out. It's much appreciated since a lot of people have been asking how to prevent scar/smart from not closing.

I tried all of this… Aaaaaaaaand it didn't work. I have updated Java. I have updated my Worlds.ini. I have solved the error with that '.dll' file. SMART and SCAR still closes on me i dont get any response whatsoever. What should i try?

I was having that problem, not anymore, thanks for the tutorial Pietro.
(I'm from Brazil too :P)

TYVM for the tut, didn't think that was my problem, but it turned out it was, Rep++ :)

I can just paste that thing that u just posted into my worlds.ini so i dotn have to do the other steps up above right?

Thanks, gonna try it out now if it'll work! * Hope So *

I don't think so… try to make a NEW worlds.ini by yourself…
Look… (2/5/2008 at 14:36:01) it is a little outdate… so some worlds will work, some wont…

Making a new worlds.ini will make all worlds work :D

For all you lazy people that dont want to download FAWG and update it (Not sure if he already updated)

You have to extract all of the files in the rar archive… You're probably missing the plugins…

I have the same problem.

if I start a script, it says: error in smart. wrong world prefix. (something like that;))

EDIT: You can try to uninstall Scar and Subversion.

FAWG is not making any new world file for me, just empty ones :S

thanks man that really helped me

Thanks :)

hey thanks i learned something new

Still makes it crash …

Thanks a LOT. This really helped me understand what to do, considering that all I was seeing everywhere else was "update worlds.ini" without saying how :\

Is this supposed to fix the "Error starting SMART, check world prefixes." error?
I was getting it so I did this but I'm still getting the same error. On XP, if it matters.

lol me to First I copied the updated file to my root folder still same error than I opened it with notepad and pasted the text into it now I tried 2 different worlds.ini still got the error

´~~~ The weird thing about it is when you update it with the program its 16,4 kb and if you do it with notepad only 14,2kb lol? can anyone help plx !! *(0,0)*

Still crashed for me when I tried this.

This is not the fix for the "Error starting SMART, check world prefixes." error.

Yay, My Script Finally Works Because of your help, Thank you Dude. ;)

can someone explain to me what S.M.A.R.T? some scripts say Smart failed, now i know how to fix it, but what is it really? Good guide thanks man :)

not working, sorry =/

check the world prefix.. always this come!

S.M.A.R.T, Is outdated, wait for a new version to come out. My understanding is that since its outdated from all the new RS updates SMART Will NOT WORK.

Their are so many topics on here right now about this error. We get it. Remember the [SEARCH] Button is your friend.

Oh my goodness. Finally found this lil buggar!

Thanks for the updated worlds.ini. REALLY appreciate it as I was getting an error and couldn't find help becuase I kept looking in the wrong places (go figure)
woot thanks!

Smart is not outdated. It is currently working, just not at full capacity. Meaning its still bugged. You can use it, but you cannot look at SMART to check on your character because if will crash the canvas, you have to minimize it quickly. So yes, SMART is working, use the new updated FAWG to get your worlds.ini updated properly.

Dang :( I still get the error
And the version that i have that's updated is version2.80
Any ideas?

Thanks.

check world prefix…than crashes like the rest of u, wtf?! aww..

Yea, me too. It is updated to v2.80 but still Crashes :(

\±/EliteHacker\±/

nope guys still didnt get it to work
all it said was…
waitng for smart to start…
then error: error starting SMART, check world prefix.
any fixes on this?
tried other smart scripts, didnt work either.
thx in advance

im still getting a error with scar =/

Well, I'm still getting that problem. In my world prefix, I have this: 'world135'

thank you for your help

From: Shaxper
thank you for your help

remember when we told you that you should make "good" posts… that was not one. it would be considered spam and you can get banned for that.

I just downloaded it to my desktop, and I unzipped it with winrar.
I ran it and it said this when I try to scroll down on the scroll bar:
Error:
Cannot find path specified by C:/Documents and settings/user/owner/desktop/plugins

(or something like that)
WTF? I have the plugins folder right next to FAWG and it says it cant find it!

Any help? Thanks
-Andy

EDIT:Im talking about the scroll bar right between options and the parse output button in FAWG btw..

i try to use smart, i have the words.ini file, the latest one but it says something about world prefix
