This is a easy tweak to make your Hard Disk read and write faster increasing the overall performance of your PC.
Open up your control panel and access the device manager and open up the disk drives category. Right click your drive and go to properties. Under polices ensure that "Enable write caching on disk" is enabled and also check "Enable advanced performance".
The margin for loss of data is very small unless you are constantly having your power cut and provides a sizable performance increase.
