Sourceforge.net & Tortoise SVN
Sourceforge.net
Sourceforge.net is a website that hosts projects for development groups and technicians. The actual MSI files are stored on the Sourceforge.net database somewhere *I'm pretty sure but I didn't set it up to I don't know* so in order to re-write those files you must be verified through the Admin CP on sourceforge.
To register at sourceforge.net just go to http://www.sourceforge.net and create an account. It's as easy as that!
Once you've created an account PM me the username *The name you use to log into Sourceforge.net* and proceed to downloading and installing Tortoise SVN.
Tortoise SVN
Tortoise SVN is the program that lets your computer interact with the files that are hosted on sourceforge.net so you can share and redistribute code and information.
First go to http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads and download and install the latest version of Tortoise SVN. Once you've installed it, create a folder on your desktop *It doesn't really matter where* and name it MSI. After you've created the folder right-click on it and select SVN Checkout… from that list.
That will open a new window with a couple of fields, the only one that concerns us is the top field, which should be blank. Go and put
https://fcmb.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/fcmb
into that top blank field and click Ok. By now you should've gotten a PM back from me on SRL saying that I've added you to the project. Be be considerate though… I do have a life so I'm not on 24/7.
Right click on the MSI folder and select SVN Update to download the files from the server. Whenever you want to check for updates or revisions people have made do that.
To make changes to the SVN, simply right click on it and select SVN Commit from the list. An authentication message may appear and ask for your username and password. Just fill in your sourceforge.net username and password and you're good to go!
