I've been here at srl forums for a while (ignore my name), but I've never noticed anyone being banned from autoing on runescape… But like the guy who made the thread where mods have to manually go out and check…. how often do people actually get banned for macroing?

I've had a few 10 day bans in the past months and I'd say people can get banned pretty frequently if they do not follow correct methods of autoing. I.E. Autoing too much on one character, running an outdated script…

yeah because I was wondering, I use mostly my skiller and I guess I'm going to have to make some new accounts to spread it out with, but it's a pain in the ass to have one account with a high mining, but another one with a high wc, and since transferring doesn't work anymore (ignore the newt thing etc), and being forced to transfer back and forth. Or even then, disregarding different skills…. having 2 accounts with 60+ wc defeats the purpose of autoing anyways. I don't have a main (banned for other things then autoing), and now I use my skiller. I want to have high wc on my main, because like earlier, retarded transferring defeats the purpose of autoing in the first place, except on a main account.

But it's not like I auto 24/7 a day, like most people do. I'm an achiever, so I aim to have 1 account with mutliple high skills. I don't want to log into 20 different accounts to show that I have 10 level 3's with 60 wc. So autoing on one account means alot to me, but like I stated, it's not like I auto that much so I don't think I have to worry about using just one account. Plus, other then real life mods, how can jagex possibly detect autoing? Regardless of having another application open, you could say you weren't paying attention to the bottom chat, or extremely busy. If they ask why you train one skill so much, all you have to say is that you are working for 99 and are devoted to it. They can't ban you for training one skill specifically. It doesn't make any sense. They can't ban you for not talking, because #1, if you have a muted account, you don't have to even worry about it. Some people don't like typing or talking when doing something either. I know alot of times that If I do something that requires concentration, I don't talk or type because it will virtually shatter my mind and it will make me have a mind warp. And even then if jagex mods were reading this very post right now at this very moment, they couldn't do squat because somewhere, there is going to be an innocent person right now being banned for autoing and they didn't do anything but be devoted to one skill.

yea, I do alot of Woodcutting on mine. But never have i yet (knock on wood) got banned.

I had three account perm banned last week for macroing.
And then I sent in a suicide appeal x( and that lead to the badness :p

I've had 3 accounts perm banned (insta-banned) for autoing. 2 in the past month (the only ones I had left) and 1 back when I had an army of guildminers about 4 months ago (ended up selling them).

Banning still happens, and I'd say on a regular basis.
If you are looking at only autoing on one account (for the reasons you stated), I'd auto only for a little bit at a time while I am near the computer. And I doubt Jagex would get curious if they saw someone just working on one skill…I mean everyone wants to level up something a whole lot at one time or another.

yea, i usually log onto RS for 3/7 days. At the same time the Script I use doesn't always work the way I want it to so it shuts off after about 30 minutes. If i was a jagex mod or somethin I wouldn't expect that person to be a autoer.

Got 99 fletching and 50 thieving all autoed, and I havent been banned for over 4 months now.

nice iam working on getting WC to 99 and once i do that, im gonna sue all the logs i got from it to fletch. Hoepfully reaching my goal of 99 fletching if my friend's calculations are correct!

You're cutting yews to 99 wc?

you know jagex is ruin runescape so they lose members so i think they will bann not thats fast becaus there scared lsing people

and when you compare rs from today to rs classic you would know how big the game has become…

I think with there auto detection system they monitor how many times you fail three randoms in a row or in a certain time period. When I first autoed I got a unsolvable random but ignored that and kept on autoing. Twice this happened and then I got a 10 day temp ban.

I got b& a few years ago for using a begger bot. Forgot the name so I can't see if it's still alive. Though, if I still remembered the Username I'd probably just sell it since it's a RSC account.

i have been banned before.
1. autoing too long
2. being tied to a autoer account.
