We went to belgium and learn't about this .
Apparently the people in the concentration camps were stripped of cloaths and put to hard labour. And when they died they were put in a massive pile with other people who had died and were set a light. It took the allies sometine to close down all of them.

Having something offensive as a swastika should deserve a longer ban IMO. Even having no Jewish relatives that I know of, it makes me actually feel hurt to have to think of what happened and anything that tries to stimulate that event in a non-remembrance fashion is morally wrong on every single level. Though it may just be me, but the impact of seeing thousands of graves has firmly set my feelings towards it.

Their are some rules that you just know not joke about. The admins banned him right away because if they had waited, more people would have been offended. I think they did the right thing.

Personally I think that they should have PM'ed him… waited 20 - 30 minutes and then banned him for a day if he didn't reply.

Regardless of what we think should've been done, what has happened has happened and it is in the past now.

I think it is quite a big deal actually.
Making fun of the Holocaust is no big deal, as long as you make sure you do not offend people with your 'jokes'. Using a nazi flag as an avatar isn't cool, nor funny. I can't beleive you even dared to put it in your avatar, I would have banned you for 7 days at least. ;)

Exactly what I thought. Finland never got occupied by soviet union, although they tried, but they lost :p.. But communists have done terrible things, and as far as I know loads of people were killed just because the leaders thought they're spies or said something bad about stalin etc., or that's what I remember from what we talked about communists and soviet union at school quite a long time ago.

Also I know that nazis involve way more racism, and that most admins (active) here are dutch and netherlands did get occupied by nazis (AFAIK) thus they're not too liked around there, but still countries that soviet union took over might feel the same way to communists and soviet union, and have heard bad things from their grandparents, other relatives and sources of information..

So it's not that funny either, even though I'm kind of neutral when it comes to this kind of stuff as Finland hasn't really suffered from nazis or soviets, but I do know many, many people have, and it won't feel good to see people joke around with "oh lyke lawl im zeh communist/nazi" if you know people related to you or other people that you somewhat care about have been killed or had to go through alot of shit because of the certain people..

So yeah, neither really bothers me, but I know both communists and nazis have done bad things, so you might re-consider joking with things that some people may feel strongly about.

your right, but the principles of communism are not necessarily bad / racist, they try to make everyone equal to the next person. I do not like the idea of communism, but in theory no one should be killed/tortured because of it. its the leaders that screw it up.

Nevertheless there will always be people who when they think of communism will always see the people being killed, starving etc, because they've lived through it, or know someone who has.

and you also have to see there are various types of communism.
