I can't find anything! Only stuff for C#, which I don't really want, but if no one else can turn anything up, I guess I'll use C# for a compiled bot.

You don't necessarily need a library, just connect through sockets. I'm making one in java and its going great.

Why do you need one? IRC is an easy protocol.

Do you know how hard sockets are in C++?

if i can do it, im sure you can,
it took me 3 rewrites to stop all the segfaulting, each time i had to try a totally new idea

there probably is a library though, i know there is one for java irc bots, and that language has easier sockets, like you can read one byte at a time, and wrappers which read until the next newline

But I've tried looking for some help on sockets, each fucking site suggest a different thing! And none of them are remotely the same. (It seems)
