Hello members!(h)
People have told me before I applied for members that everyone stopped posting things and all after the update with no transfering. I just wanted to boost up SRL members by reporting this and informing everyone to get back and start scripting. As I believe, us Srl Members deserve more than others. I'm not saying that because I am a SRL member but we all know it isn't easy becoming one. This thread is mainly to encourage everyone to use the SRL members section more. Because I've noticed that the SRL Members help is rarely used, and many sections haven't been used since last year.:(
I shouldn't be saying this as I believe maybe the SRL admins and devs will have more power and people will listen to them more than me. But Please lets wake up and bring SRL MEMBERS back!:)

I don't think it has ever been much more active than it is now (correct me if I'm wrong, only been here about a month). What drives the rest of the forums (non Members) are the questions. Probably about 80%+ of the non Member sections are questions. SRL Members usually don't have much to ask, and if we do, we usually post it in a public section. I imagine that when SMART was SRL Members+ only it was a bit more active though :p

Becoming a member gave me the cool orange name.

But the 'hidden' sections wasn't really worth it XD You get more advice if you post a script problem etc in the jr section :)

Yes, but as I can see SRL members sections use to be much more active and helpful. It would be more helpful because obviously you are getting answered by great scripters(in most cases)

We don't usually need that much help…that's why the help section isn't too active. People have pretty much stopped autoing, and so the marketplace on SRL is dead too, although it was never really active. SRL Member News and SRL Discussions is quite active though.

Hah. Yep, surprising. There aren't really any more advantages of SRL Members, except earlier releases of a few good scripts. Oh and, we're alot more trusted than the Non-SRL Members.

yeah and there wont be any "OMFGWTFNOOB" comments going on around as much here.

though i have to say, this place is dying due to RS's controlled economy.

k well this problem can be fixed easily… SRL should do a SRL member Active Check. like probally a new rank? (EX: Idle Member)
im trying to say every member should make a script for a activity check. and the script will be for SRL members only… doesnt have to be great just working script? and the people who havent make a script they can get the idle rank and lose some forums(i dont think thats right. but its just a suggestion or they just get a rank)

so i think that will get SRL members LIVELY! and encourage others

How the hell will that make SRL Members more active? Those that are idle don't make a difference here, so removing them also won't make a difference.

I always use member help, and it's much faster and gets intelligent responses

I only have the time to update my fighters as it is.

Back to the member forums. I see a lot of posts you wouldn't normally see in the other sections. For example there is much more code access when your members then when your not. If you look you'll see the really good functions/procedures posted in the members section. The Jr. members and below don't get access to some of these really nice coded functions/procedures that would make scripting a whole hell of a lot easier.

Plus the members forum feels more private and personal. You can say things you know won't be shared or leaked. I'm sure this has exceptions but the cleaning that took place awhile ago helped this cause me thinks.

i think that script idea is rather stupid, and remember that probably most SRL Members have their private scripts for many things, but just don't post them because it's much more work when they're out for the public.

It is quite true that most scripts in Members sections are dead… but i think that's our fault and up to us to fix it.

but in the SRL Functions and SRL Test Corner and SRL Development sections there's a lot of interesting things.
For Example in the test corner e have a walker by timer that walks nearly the whole world. And there are many other good useful functions.

In the srl development section you may influence the next rev, there are many things in there that already got included / fixed for rev 15+! (but i do think that section is needing a lil clean up :P)

and we must not forget Battle of the Bots ;)

SRL Members isn't dead its just been inactive, say for instance more SRL Members tend to release their scripts in the Jr. Section, Mainly becuase no one here bothers to feedback on it.
So If more people started posting here say for instance if everyone came here for 5-10 minutes each day then the SRL Member script section would be much more active.
But just a suggestion.

I think many people seek glory and fame from the jr. member section as more people see it there :)

Welcome, and I don't think SRL members is dead.. Just less active people.

just wait i might release 6 or 7 scripts next week ^^
after that.. it will be active.

there are many good coded scripts in SRL Members section if you ask me. the thing is quite a few are out-dated b/c WE as SRL Members release scripts more for the use of more people using them and if you want MORE people to use them you have to give access to the majority of people here (non-members) rather than the minority (members).

but there are still many good working and very very good Members scripts

Move it to mems for like a week, just after I've pefected mine, so I can get recognised!

I don't know when I'll be finished though, hoping it will be withing the next couple of weeks, depends how much I push myself. Might be inactive, need to revise for SATs :(

This is a really good idea, persuading more people to script so they can get into members to get the 1337 scripts! And if you post it in the members section you will get intelligent replies (just getting replies is good!). This now really makes me want to finish my smelter to make it work!

My crafting guild miner will be released here when its done.

I still don't know whether I should release my smelter here… its not really something members would use.

For the first time I let it run on its own, for more than 5 mins. This is what I got (stopped as I ran out of ores).

Haha, I already quit scripting, but it *would* be neat to make one last script. I doubt I've forgotten much. I'll always be here keeping updated on ya'll, though :)

I'll release my fletcher here when its done… I dusted off the good ole fletcher/stringer and it should be good to go in a day or 2… but yea, members is dying down IMO.

I'm sorting out my fletcher too :p

It added updates in that turned out to be complete shit, so I need to put it back to what it was, but I'm still releasing in Jnr Mems, so it gets more praise :)

Yes, member requierments need to be raised.

How about this. We close apps for a bit(we'll see later). That will make people who were going to apply wait longer and add more to their script

imo, when i applied i should not have been accepted, after seeing a few apps that other people sent in i feel that i should have been denied. I still feel that I can't script nearly as well as most of the SRL Members.

why the market place? because i think 50% of the srl members doesn't auto, me not i am here for the community and fun:D this is a cool and trustable community, and i love scripting i would i could script under andrews nose(not to close :p)
