SRL Archive - RS has been updated.

the made alot of prefix changes, for exaple the prefix for world one is now "world1". this breaks smart. i released a patch.


update the worlds.ini with mine. its location is \Includes\SRL\SCSS

if you prefer opening the world.ini file and pasting the code your self. here

not sure, but it might be that if world one goes low on people once. then people who would normally go to full worlds (like world one), wont go to world 1 (as they used to). runescape gathering 2008 (yesterday) had a huge impact on world 1, the only reason to go to world one was because it was full. there is also the bad reputation with lag that world 1 has.

there is no way to avoid it using conventional methods. if you used smartsetupex on your script then it will look at the worlds.ini file and look for the prefix, witch is gets outdated. if you use smartsetup then your prefix will be outdated.

eg nav1.runescape.com is now world17.runescape.com, so if your script tried to access it it will fail.

one way to avoid that is using my WORLDINFO function

for example:
SmartSetup(worldInfo(17,5), False, False);

this wont break unless a major change to the world select page happens. if this code was used when SMART first came out, it would not have broken due to prefix changes.

EDIT: if you use my funtion with an if not (worldInfo(17,0) = '"null"')then you can avoid offline worlds.

I am not very good at programing, but am excellent at web designing.

i have experience at web desing, motion graphics, and odd-ball programming (AS3, javascript, php, SCAR). im currently making a page its turning out awesome… not sure if bandwith friendly but in about a month it'll be done. starting to go off topic here… so, anyone else need prefixes done in a specific format?
