SRL Archive - S.M.A.R.T. General and Q/A.

I used to have great luck with SMART then I installed Dreamweaver, FireWorks, and Flash 8 and it doesn't work.

I run a SMART program and SMART never opens and scar closes when the find command that uses SMART is called (SmartReady in my case)

Thing I've Tried,
-deleting Embeddedsmart.dll and redownloading
-redownloading SRL
-uninstalling and reinstalling Java


I think the program might be with Dreamweaver and file association, as it's the only thing i've change sense it worked

with this program I can get smart to load about 1\5th of the time

I've found I can get it to work on some worlds but it takes 20 seconds for smart to load instead of the the old 2-5 seconds, world 1,2,3,and 16 work 4,5,6,61,62,63 don't


[Edit (for Freddy1990's sake] well it takes for ever for me to click the edit button, wait for it to open and then type then wait for the post to save, 2 or 3 times longer than simply posting in the quickly reply box if it's a short comment

your worlds.ini file need updating perhaps? smart and scar will close if you enter in a world number with an outdated prefix

and if the edit box takes for ever for you to wait for the edit button…then maybe your computer is slowing down and cant load SMART in 2 - 5 seconds lol

is world.ini not updated when you download srl? I don't think my computer slowed down. if you get the world wrong does it close scar but leave the process?

yea it should update when you download SRL, my friend just had that problem…it kept shutting on him and we figured out his world.ini file just had outdated prefixes and he had just downloaded SRL

I have dreamweaver and my SMART loads?

Maybe you just need to delete SCAR/SRL all of it, and then reinstall it all?
