Okay, this is like the 3rd (three being the third number) time posting this on various forums.

This has to do with phones and multi-frequency dialing.

Please look here for a list of frequencies used: http://www.port7alliance.com/txt/Freq.txt

So, my father says that if you played something like 697hz and 1209hz together you would get the absolute difference of the two as the new oscillation freq. and their combined amplitude as the output.

But this doesn't make sense to me! Why not just play the approx. 400hz freq. instead of both of them?

If anyone knows about phones, please help me. I need this information to have some phun.

Phone Phreak? I don't think this works anymore although it wouldn't hurt to try. Where are you trying to do this / what are you trying to do specifically?

I personally don't know a lot but my bro made a redbox back in the day so he may be able to help you.

No, they have different ways to handle coins now… But anyway, you can still dial your phone by using the HZ sounds played into the mike.

I wanted to make a small beige box w/ dialer.

Because when you add two frequencies together, it doesn't just make a wave of the avarage.

Here, look at this:
The first graph would be the 700Hz by itself, the second graph would be the 700Hz and 1200Hz together.

Also, make sure to notice that the scale is different for the graphs
