Today 9 april 2008 i bought a new headset for 600 swedish Kroner. ( 600 kroner = 40 dollars? ). Now to the problem xD ..

Theres 2 wires to plugin for the mic and headset to work.
For some reason the only working part on my computer when using the headset is the Red one ( Where you should put the mic ). So i can't have my mic & headset audio on at the same time. My Headset Audio works perfect. The mic works only if i send a audio message to them. But if we Live voice chat like Ventrillo, msn it just a PIIP sound.

Using : Ac'97 Audio something from VIA ( Idk how to check. )

Didn't what I tell you work?

Try enabling the headset in your drivers/sound control panel?

My drivers are wrong i think… Im almost sure… I just need some basic help on finding them xD

How can i find out what my SoundCard name is ?

download the Realtek sound driver..

Should just get a USB headset, so much easy to work with ;). First headset I had was like yours(the 2 diff wires) was a piece of sh*t

Will realtek even work? I got a Card from VIA not Realtek? xD im so confused

my computer, right click it, properties, system, device management.
And try your control panel, you might have some sound thingy in there, or in the systemtray (next to the clock).

I hae a speaker like yours. Plug the non-red wire into the green hole on your computer then the red one in the back. Re-install all sound drivers from your CD, do a Windows Update and you should be alright.

I suggest you hit the headset with a hammer 3 times if nothing else helps. Worked well for me.

BUT if it still won't work => buy a new one.
