This could really improve the PlayerForm

When you using the SRL player manager, does it ever annoy you that there is players[0].skill, which you dont need to use, but you cant put players[0].boolean1

it annoys me, so how about a form where you can choose which options you want to be used

This is an example form of how it might look like, im not so good at forms, but its the idea that counts

Download the file and Carry on reading!

have the example playerform opened while reading this

lets say your script doesnt use integer1 in its player setup
all you need to do it comment out the line and change the array length

setarraylength(choices, 4)//how many choices do u have? 1-5
choices[0] := 'location'
choices[1] := 'skill'
choices[2] := 'boolean1' //set the things you want in
choices[3] := 'string1'
// choices[4] := 'integer1'

Run the script, and Oh look, no more integer1 which you wont use :)

what if you decide you dont need to use the skill variable in your script
just delete te skill line and change the array length

setarraylength(choices, 4)//how many choices do u have? 1-5
choices[0] := 'location'
choices[1] := 'boolean1' //set the things you want in
choices[2] := 'string1'
choices[3] := 'integer1'

My form is just an example, it cant save the details or create/delete players, but its the idea that counts

i think the end result would be something like this
procedure StartPlayers(ShowForm:boolean;Options:Array Of String);

Perhaps a daring SRL Developer could make such a form ?

what are you talking about changing?
playerform.scar or users.scar

there was a proposal a while back to change the player variables (integer1, string1, etc) to arrays, but i guess that never happened

i was thinking of changing users.scar, but its nothing to do with changing the player variables,

its just so you can fill them using a form, the current forms could only fill username…skill, but theres something im working on which you give options to it as an array of strings and it only shows the catagories that you want

so you can remove players[0].loc: if you want, but you can add players[0].boolean1 if your script needs it
