I had VB.net once…before I got VB Portable.

I think you can just go File –> Make .exe or something? If you have done that, just search for it using the search function.

if your using the Microsoft Visual Studio, just go to build and it should build the .exe and the path is your documents/visual studio/projects/project name/bin/release/ ur.exe

if your using something else, get MS visual studio 2005 or 2008. 2008 is the best I have it.

Try this (Visual Basic 2008 Express):
Project -> Publish
Then go into the map where u published it Example:(C:\WindowsForm1)
Then look for "Yourproject.exe.deploy" Remove .deploy from the name and it's a .exe^^

That, what you just said, probably screws something up.

For me it never screwed something up, only if u change the .exe.manifest that screws something up;)

THe closest thing I have done is …

Go to Project properties and then the publish tab.
under the "pre-req" button, uncheck the "make setup…" checkbox
under the options button, untick the "use .deploy extension"

It will leave you with 3 files instead of the 8 or so. YOu can easily make this into a single exe file using software from the internet.
