(Sorry, I forgot the stroke =D)
Ever seen some small lines, which make a small image, usually an userbar, something small like "Mozilla User" etc being super cool, because it has those small gray lines on it?
In this tutorial, I will tell you how to do those lines - though there are no pics, but it's simple, don't worry.
Okay, first open a new PhotoShop document, 3x3, transparent background.
Press CTRL ++ until the size of the pic is nicely visible, - it's hard to draw on a 3x3 canvas without any zooming ;)
Now, select the color you want the lines to be, usually middle-lightish gray looks good, as your foreground color.
Now, select the Pen Tool (press hold left-click at the brush tool in the palette and choose the pen tool).
Start going from the Bottom-left to Upper-right corner, do three squares there, diagonal is propably the right word for that?
After you've finished, go to Edit -> Define Pattern, and choose a name for your pattern.
Now, go find a picture that you want to Encoolen, double click the layer in the layer palette, and choose Pattern Overlay and select your pattern.
Scale 100 is the best IMO, but you can play with it, and opacity also is your choice ofcourse.
Good luck :)
