• Close all Scar Windows that you have currently open.

• Download SRL to your Scar 2.03 Root folder ( typically C:\Program Files\Scar 2.03\ )

• Unextract the SRL .RAR File using WinRAR into the Folder you Saved it to in Step 1.

• Click Overwrite All when WinRAR Prompts you for it.

• Run Scar 2.03\Includes\SRL\SetupSRL.Scar using Scar to Setup All Variables.

• You now have now successfully installed SRL.

Getting unexpected end of file error when opening the file. I have a 24Mbit constant connection, so its not that. It's only getting 175KB of the 1.18MB file, I'm going to assume that the file is either corrupt or theres some sort of hosting problem.

the paleyr form was messed up and dank didnt want to reuplaod everything.

afteter that clic the .rar on ur desktop
and extract it to C>programfiles>scar2.03

if you were parient and smart just read the fris post. it has step by stem instructions of how to Download and Install SRL.

Try downloading again.. if that doesn't work try downloading with FireFox.. if you already used firefox.. use IE lol.

Thanks for this ;) and ehhm, I think you still have to update the .txt that holds the latest version, if you click on Check Version in setupsrl.scar, it says that 3.40 is the latest ;)

ok everytime i run a script with SRL 3.4 or lower it gives me "Newline" never used before…will this affect the scipt in any way??

It does not effect the script at all. Personally I went into the file it is referencing and deleted 'NEWLINE', without any problems. Just annoyed me having it popup all the time.

I'm am a dutch newby who likes to cheat. But i don't understand a phew things:
- what is the difference between SCAR and SRL, is SRL usefuller?
- If i wanna install the latest SRL there keeps saying: "CRC failed in includes\SRL\SCARBrowser\SCARBrowser.exe
Unexpected end of archive", how can i fix this!:duh: :duh: !?, some guys say i must re-download it, but i tried, and it didden't help!

CAn someone explane these things in just normal English and not in "computer-Scientist" English?

omg. stop wasting time, read the title of this forums section "download srl here" simple, you dpwnload srl in this section, get scripts from the srl free scripts section. or if you feel up to the challenge, make yopur own script to become an srl member, and get access to much better scripts

hey, ummm im wondering if someone can help out a bit, i followed the tutorial, downloaded slr and scar, extracted slr into appropriate files. i compiled and ran the setup file…and i guess looked at it and changed lamp to woodcutting…ummm im trying to use it to cut yews….when i open my rs window and sign in i click ctr. alt. r and i get a message Failed when compiling

okay, well, Im not sure if it is just me, or if my computer hasnt been doing this whole thing right, but I click the download button, and it takes me to a screen that says that Im being redirected. Then Im taked back to the first screen, but now the download button is ogne, and Im thinking that the install window will come up, but it never does, so if there is some step that I skipped, Id be happy to hear about it

I think it's cos you might not have installed SRL properly try redownlaoding and installing it.

Hate to be another noob looking for answers but ive tryed everything I can think of and this is last resort so it would be great to get some help.. Can someone write a tutorial on how to setup please?

ok so I registered for my ID, but how do I put it into SRL? I just deleted the lines ESRLID.Text and the other one, and then entered my ID and pass into the form. But eveything works now I guess so thanks!

You can find the updates in the General Public Board, it has all the new updates and other things you might want to know.

the difference is the dev's have fixed some of the bugs…also the download it on the FIRST PAGE on the RIGHT side of the screen NEAR the TOP

Like Hobbit said, look on the first page at the top of the first post. Then look on the right of the post and you should see the Attachments. Click on the attachment and set it up.

umm idk why.. but when i dl SRL it always worked b4.. and all the scripts work but i try to run setupSRL.scar to set up my stat ID and pw it sais

Hmm~ funny, please try and download it again, it was like that for me for a while, try again HERE

If not, empty your temporary internet file and then try download it again =)

I cleared all the internet temp and then it came to this….it only did that though when it asked to overwrite the bmp's but i accidently said no one time and it worked =/ not sure if it was installed right tho…

ok, i have re-packed the plugins folder and also included the globalstats patch file.

If you are getting a CRC Faild error or a Unexpected End of Archive error, then you need to redownload SRL again. I have tested every file and plugin in this Archive and they are good. When you get this error it is due to your Connection timing out during the download. I have successfully downloaded this archieve 10 times without any problems so the server is working properly. It may take afew times of downloading depending on your Connection Speed and Quality before it works correctly for you but theres nothing i can do to help you with this.

When ever it says

The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.

it means it's used by another process (duh~ that was helpful..)
I meant, you need to close SCAR, and if they are closed, press CTRL+ALT+DEL and switch to the second tab called Processes, and locate scar.exe, then right click end process tree.

The error shouldn't come up again =)

Ok i Redownloaded it reinstalled Winrar delted temp files and deleted all traces of 3.6 and then i d/led again and so far its working =) tried the setup SRL and everything thanks guys =)

delete the file and redownload it. You internet connection timedout while downloading.

is there any way not to have the 3.6 SRL in an zip folder and no in an rar format…because i get it on the computer and then it has no extract all files. it says open with… or open with internet thing. can you help?? thanks so much!

how do i download

Ok i think i got it extracted because i see "New SRL" as what i named when i was extracting. It's was in my scar root but i moved to includes folder. But i don't think im done yet? i don't remember what the next step it, you know when you get that window that's showen in the example pictures. What goes next, i don't remember?

Quite a large possibility that I'm being completely oblivious to what I need to do, but I receive these errors when trying to extract to the ROOT folder.
To sum up all the crap, it says it is a Corrupted File, and Unexpected End of Archive.

Using WinRar & Downloaded the Latest Mozilla.

OK the way to fix this, you need something in the manual like firefox or something.. then download it, and no more corrupt fles :)

for the new SRL 3.6 when i download to scar 2.03 root file and i go to that file after i instal it it says "open with…". Then i right click it and there is no extract all files…HELP PLEASE!

there is no SRLv350 as SRLv360 replaced it. you need to close all open scar windows, then extract the archive. it says that in the instructions.

no you dont need to uninstall because it jsut copies over old stuff…and to answer ur previous question try downloading again cause sometimes it takes a few tries to get a uncorrupt file

No sorry, the developers on this project have spent over a year of time, to provide this include. If people cant spend 5 mins of there own time locating the download link then we dont want them using this include anyway.

Im newer to this whole thing, and i will most likely be asking a lot of questions. To start….How do i download SRL? I have downloaded the 360b without manual, is that what im supposed to download? I have it in my SCAR root file, but I cant seem to extraxt anything from it. These are the messages i get when i try to open/extract SRL:

CRC failed in included\SRL\SCARBrowser\SCARBrowser.exe the file is corrupt
unexpected end of archive.

My SCAR file isnt corrupt, i was just using it. Im using other peoples scripts, and they say this on most of them:

how do i include these items? I would appreciate a full blown "Complete idiots guide to EVERYTHING that you need to do in order to run a script" reply. Thanks, and sorry for asking noobish questions.

ok go back to the instructions….and scroll down a tiny bit and look the the right side of the screen and u sell see a little button names "mark" under that button will be the attachment…double click the attachment and it will open the download box

forget the id and pass you dont need it for srl….just click ok…….the id and pass is just if you want a signature thing like mine (big green box)….what it does is you set it up on the site then the global stats include saves time running, banks, randoms etc…then uploads to ur id and updates the sig…..so jsut forget the id and pass;)

ok once u've extracted the file in includes folder go into the srl file and inthere there are more files and 2 scars script files…one says srlsetup…double click that 1 and run it

Copy the plugins. And read tutorials.

did you extract the .rar file in the Includes folder and NOT anyother foldeR? or did u extract it at all? and if you did did you pres the yes to all when it asked to overwrite? if you answer yes then try redownloading and doing again

Ok, i did the thingy on the first page and it downloads it…then it puts it in scar and its like in a wacked language. I hvae no idea about any files to put it into or anything all i have is a file named attachment in my downloads file. Is winrar a program i need to download first. If so culd i get a link to it?

All I see is an Install link. I can't find a button that says "Download."

Yes, if you are using windows you need winrar, otherwise you need another rar to extract the files. You can get trial versions here.

Since you have already downloaded it. All you have to do is… Go to C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03

Right Click on SRL.rar And Then Click "Extract To Here."

That was simple wasn't it?

Don't listen to westside rep hes VERY wrong….you download it to C:\Program Files\Scar 2.03\includes and extract it in the INCLUDES folder!! then you open the folder named srl that will appear in the includes folder… so in this directory C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03\includes\SRL …you will see a script fale names SetupSRL open that and press play…and ignore the part of the setup form that says userid number and password….that is not needed

did you run the SRLsetup script first to properly install srl?

Close all Scar Windows that you have currently open.

Download SRL to your Scar 2.03 Root folder ( typically C:\Program Files\Scar 2.03\ )





Unextract the SRL .RAR File using WinRAR into the Folder you Saved it to in Step 1

you need to to run any scripts the has srl as an include…which is a lot..also your root folder is C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03 and to install srl once you've extracted the file go here C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03\includes\SRL and run the script called SetupSRL then just put the info in (dont worry about srl id and password box) the press ok and you've installed SRL :D

you dont intall it from a site, downlaod the file to the root folder then extract it, and go into includes, srl, then open the file called SetupSRL and run the script put in the info, press ok and its installed, and dont worry about the srl id and pass boxes

oh! and i have a question i previously went to a website called scar-scripts.com and copy and pasted some of there scripts but, wenever i tryed to run them my curser would move around and right click on things and i would have to restart my computer do you know why this is happening?

to answer your first question: the root folder is this C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03 so downlaod the file there, then go there and you need winrar to extract it, if you have it right click the file and select extract here, then it will extract then go to C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03\includes\SRL and there will be a scar script file named SetupSRL open it and run it, dont worry about the srl id and pass boxes

do you have winrar? im guessing not, your comp isn't reconising the file because it is .rar archive which you need winrar to extract, so its usless to you unless u get winrar

yes because if you uninstalled scar it removes the root folder and the include is inside a sub folder in the root folder…

did you go here : C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03\includes\SRL
then run a script called SetupSRL

…if you didnt…do it thne the error will go away

scar will not change, all thats different is that there is more scripting procedures and functions to use.

ok the pics in guide are old…srl has been updated since then so the file has gotten bigger…open the script thats is titled SetupSRL like you did then press play on scar, fill out the informations (dont worry about srl id and pass leave blank if u dotn know what it is) then press ok and you've installed srl :D

I downloaded it and saved to my documents then extracted, clicked on SetupSRL, then it pulled up scar 2.03 and it had a green script. I cant get to the SRL settings form

did you press play? and you dont save in it "MyDocuments" you need to save it here C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03 unless for some odd reason you have scar installed from your documents.

Ok…i've extracted the files+ ran the script to install it got the SRL setting forms then saved settings…then it just went away and said "successfully executed" so i suppose i've installed it…now what? has it been installed to a file or sumthing?

did you download it and extract it in the right place? C:\Program Files\SCAR 2.03 ?

cant see srl download

hey, i dled the file but i cant open the setup. What program do i need to dl to open the .scar files and please include a link!!!

how do i get the SRL Settings Form? IDK where to look or how to get it. Please help :eek:

C:\Program Files\Scar 2.03\includes\SRL

if you extracted it right in that file there should be a script file called "SetupSRL" open it, press play and set up the info, press ok, and srl is successfuly installed :D

It doesnt ask me which folder i want to download it to so it automatically chooses my desktop? can someone please tell me how to download it into the scar 2.03 folder?

Im using firefox like the picture in the tut but the download link was updated to
SRL 360b I followed the tutorial and everything turned out like the pictures but the setup script has to be updated to match 360 b i think .

PS= when i click the download link that big grey box appears and the box that says download never pops up?
