Sometimes other buyers from the Grand Exchange are buying Essence and may offer a higher price than others. But just try it out n3ss ;)

It's not like I didn't try GE - I managed to buy 25k, but then, even I increased the price to max (32gp), I sit there for like an hour and not a single ess :(

But today, luckily forgetting about this thread I managed to bought the remaining 15k in appriximately… 5 seconds ;)
