Well, you all know how the leecher-spammers, not spammers like hermpie, tend to propably over 50% of the time double-post, so I'm suggesting… -straight to the point - I think that if SSRL Members would be able to edit posts they are mature enough not to do stuff like… "I am stupid haha", so we could add SCAR tags, remove things that should not be in a post - horrible English or a malicious link maybe, and merge posts so

a) There will be one post less since the double-post gets merged
b) One post less because some hero behind the corner doesn't come and say don't double post :rolleyes:

It's not that I'm not satisfied with the infracting, that's a nice hobby, but there is a lot more we could help, so… Ehm… I'll just pull this out:

We upgraded the priviledges for SSRL Members. SSRL Members now have the ability to:

* Close Threads.
* Reopen Threads.
* View IP Adresses.
* View Detailed Location Info.
* See Ediited note by.
* Can give Infraction.
* Can see infraction level.

We can only close and open our own threads?


Now I'll just run behind some tree and see what happens.

I even ask ppl what they think before I give an infraction, I give very less infractions. Don't believe me? Ask Markus, Nielsie95 and even StarBlaster100.

I'm unsure about myself, wether to decide if I should give an infraction or not and now I see yousaying it's you're hobby..

Think about it in the way you want to..

I don't like merging/editing posts, like you probably saw, there have been several edit wars on SRL by SRL-Mods. ;)

I don't think Locking other topics than your own should be an ability, too… But thats just my opinion…

I agree with Wizzup on this one. You are a moderator or you are not.

I don't think this would be right. The mods are there to moderate the forums. It's their job to merge, edit, and lock posts. If you allow every SSRL Member to do this, there will be no purpose for mods.

If the mods are not doing their job too well, they should be reminded of their responsibilities or replaced.

PS Editing others' posts is icky territory. People get angry when you change their words. Even when it is for their own good.

I guess it's better the way it is then… Thank you for your interest.
