Your screen as in your monitor? Or the bars at the bottom like what happens when someone sends you an IM? Take a screen shot please.

I'm pretty sure he means SMART and check your CPU usage while running SMART as I have a running theory that the problem is the pc not giving SMART enough resources to run, thus crashing it (and leading to the flashing screen).

this happens to me, too.
Whenever i close the lid to my laptop, then open it, SMART flashes between 2 frames. all you have to do is click stop blocking then start blocking.
dont know how to keep it from stoppin in future though
May have to do with Vista?

Closing the lid puts it into Standby so I'm guessing the OS tries to stop SMART running, thus making it go a bit off that's fixed by unblocking and blocking as it refreshes the client. Though, that's just what I think and I doubt it relates to his original problem.

*Bump*
I'm having this same issue with any script U run through SMART. I think it's Windows 7 because I've never had this issue with XP. Is there any solution to this yet?
*Edit* Nevermind, I had to login to real RS and turn off the high detail and animations and it stopped flashing. But now I have a new problem =(

Whoa buddy. That's a big bump. Check the latest post and what time it was posted. Major grave dig. Never go back pages in a forum. Try posting a new thread.

Sorry to post after this, but to solve the problem (I'm 99% sure)
Set it to fixed, low detail.
