Tarajunky's AutoColors work great but their not perfect. I have about 10 accounts all near Falador, and I'm logging them in and out to find lots of values of the interal alter color. when i'm done I was wondering,

if I went back and added to Tarajunkys autocolor, it would have any chance of being included ever, or i would be the only one it would benefit. I've written the script to do it, I've modified FindWaterColor already and I can apply make it look pretty, should I?

Any change that is for the better of the community should be posted no matter what. (There are exeptions, yes. STFU narbs. King, do it.)

If you want to think about it logically, if everyone posted everything they ever did, yes, we'd have a lot of shit, but there would be a lot more content and ideas and procedures and function that people work on and develop. I don't know if it would be included in SRL (maybe though) but I'm 90%+ sure that it would benefit a lot of people. This is the kind of thing that I was hoping to get people in MSI to do… I'm still working though, trying to get everyone back after I've been gone.

If you ever find a color that the SRL functions miss (like a water color that isn't found by FindWaterColor, etc), then send me a PM or post it in a thread like this so the function can be fixed.

If you want to detect a new color in a new spot, you can always write up a new function. However, first you should realize that almost all RS colors are stable, and all stable colors can be calculated using the NewAutoColor include.

I think people should put effort into improving NewAutoColor rather than making more standalone functions.

And still some people to not realize that you can change your own SRL installation…

And you can post a thread about your fix too! Wouldn't this have been avoided if you had posted what you had found to everyone, even if it wasn't included? If you wanted it included, you OBVIOUSLY wanted to help people instead of have your name in there, so it would do the same thing: Help people.
