would it be possible if i have 500k airs and 5 million do play the Grand Exchange market? could I start selling and buying equal amounts of air runes at 16gp each until i force the market up? or just sell my airs at 16 ? could I increase the price of airs?

Anouther market question, has anyone tried buying for the lowest price and selling for the middle price on low volume items? does this work? can alot (200k+ per day) be made?

I managed to make a fair whack buying Dragon Axes at max price, waiting a few days and selling back at the new higher max price. I can't do it now as the price has settled and I almost got stung when they had their last ge correction.

It is possible to play the market.

Buying and selling loads at the same price will not make the market move. The market moves based on supply & demand. i.e there has to be an imbalance for it to move.

If you had enough cash and were to buy every air rune available, dry up supply so that no-one else could buy at mid price then there would be an imbalance and the price would move up.

On the spin side If you had enough air runes and were to flood the market with them so that no matter how many buyers there were there was always an ample supply of runes, then there would be an imbalance the other way and the price would move down.

Of course non of this would work with air runes though because jagex has special additional rules built into the grand exchange due to certain items having a shop price which doesn't move. Also most other items have a min price based on the High Alch value of the Item.
