Ok I KNOW the old thread was closed because JAD said he fulfilled the agreement, but he DID NOT, he spent THREE hours teaching me, he taught me color picking, dropping, and bitmaps… that is HARDLY anything! JAD if you aren't going to teach me any more, I want my money back.

JAD let the guy have some more hours atleast a week or more????

IMO though I too think he didn't teach you enough if that's all. 50$ is a pretty big amount for something you could probably get for free.

Yeah… The deal was FULL SRL Knowledge to the best of his abilities… I ACTUALLY stated that in the paypal transaction like "By accepting this payment, the receiver agrees to teach the sender FULL SRL/SCAR knowledge to the best of his abilities" and color picking/dropping/bitmaps isn't full SRL knowledge now is it =]

Post copy of the ACTUAL agreement, not what you say it is, I will also request a copy from JAD

you should keep this as a pm, if you dont already know about it theres is a great section you can post things like this and other hate stuff, its called the BBQ Pit

That's good enough for me, but maybe not to others. JAD, why do you say you do stuff but then you don't. I can teach you "joeyfeduka" for free if you want? But maybe not full SRL knowledge to the best of my abilities.

the fact that you never specified that the "Best of his abilities" was his abilities in SCAR. He couldnt have taught you how to successfully make a color clicker and that could've been to the BEST extend his teaching abilities can do

you didnt say SRL/SCAR abilities…..you just said abilities, he could teach you about scar until his ABILITY to stay awake was up.

i my self, think jad should be paid in hours $10 per hour, so 2 more hours of teaching imho

Whats so big about this, you paid him $50 to teach you what he can teach you.

Even if he did "scam" you which in my eyes he didn't, its life get over it. You can always just ask another person for help, theres a lot of people on this forum that will gladly help you for free.

He isn't psychic…but it's not like he's stupid. It says: 'To teach SRL/SCAR to the best of his abilities,' which means he had to teach everything as well as he could, not teach some things until he got bored.

Well if you was busy you wouldnt take time out to do a little tutorial for someone would you?

The way I see it is that Joey assumed that he could learn everything about SRL by paying JAD $50, and it turnt out that JAD taught him when he felt like it.

Also, it doesnt say that JAD had to teach him all at once. There was NO time limit. JAD could be teaching him in 10 years, the agreement was too vague.

Imho, it was Joey's fault for not being specific enough. JAD is obviousley thinking that he had any amount of time to teach him how to script, as time wasnt even mentioned.

Joey, what if we look at this mess from a different view?

As Torrent of Flame said, time was not mentioned.

Even JAD is a good scripter, it's not like he can just make you blow minds in a few hours, in my opinion, there is no reason to believe a "scam" has even occured.


Maybe some day, hopefully soon for you, he will tell you more about SRL.

First he told you how to use SCAR a bit, which was a good decision, if he would teach you straight "how to script", no offense, but you would end up asking the same questions about certain functions / techniques all over again.

P1nky and Drowner, it might not be under his decision, what if he is busy IRL?

Like I said in the last thread, the smaller percent of this situation is that JAD just ran away with the money and is just too lazy to teach you, I am sure he did consider is he able to teach before accepting the $50.

And maybe back then when he made his plans, it would've been totally.. succesful? Maybe the circumstances have changed.

I think this entire situation stinks tbh. That someone would feel like they had to pay a Member to learn SRL stinks. That a Member of SRL would feel like it was appropriate to take money from someone to learn SRL stinks. How do you place a value on knowledge when the extent of the knowledge is unknown? This incident is just vague enough that there is no real answer and no real loser/winner. JAD shoulda .. Joey shoulda. Bottom line is that it happened in the first place .. and that sucks. Especially in a community that prides itself on being as interested in learning and then educating in return. Granted, this is an incident between only two members of that community, but it still taints it a bit.

Joey, if I was you and you didn't get what you thought you should have gotten by writing what you did in PayPal .. dispute it with PayPal and then go get off your ass and learn SRL by yourself - with the help of a few friends who patiently answer your questions - like the rest of us are doing. Quit posting this on the forums because you are wasting your time and doing nothing but putting yourself in a crappy position for when/if you do decide to apply for Members. There is no other answer.

He doesnt have the TIME to teach, thats not any problem anyway? Like I said, and n3 supported, no time barrier was mentioned. Joey could be being taught in 3 years, still not a scam.

Joey… If you really, really, heart-achingly, inexplicably want to learn SCAR and SRL, you wouldn't pay for it… I learned it from reading alone, trying alone, developing alone. When a problem occured I couldn't solve, I would find another guide, another guide and another guide!
I can assure you that the majority of the SCAR-scripters have, to some degree, taught themselves. And those who had a mentor didn't pay for it.

So please, for (excuse me) fucks sake, get up your chair, stop whining and start reading the FREE tutorials! If you bump into a problem on the road, post it in the Scripting Help-section. There are always somebody ready to help (usually more than one).

Not everything can be acquired with money.
