I didn't seem to find a "Book" section on this site.
Seems like everyone here discuses everything else…
why exclude literature?
There are lots of books that I would like to recommend to people, and "Movies" is the closest thing to "Books" I could find, since, books are movies in your mind :);)

no I do have good books to recommend!! :D
well, a few of them, and I kinda wanted to read about what other people thought were good books…
anyway, I guess I'll start listing then :)
Clan of the Cavebear by Jean M. Auel
An AMAZING story!! It's set back in cave man times, Cromagnons, and Neanderthals are still co-existing, and one Cromagnon girl is "adopted" by a small clan of Neanderthals after a large earthquake disrupts the local land. I won't go into more detail, I don't wish to ruin the amazing story for you. If you want more spoilers PM me :p
This is part of a 5 book series, the Children of Earth series, and I found all of the books to be amazing
Now, for you more science fictiony lovers:
Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein
Now, I know you are all like "I saw the movie" but this book is amazing! It also has a lot of controversial topics in it like corporal punishment, and capital punishment. It goes in depth about these, and it really gets you thinking. but…. if you don't want to read the book after you have seen the movie then go onto his is even more famous book:
Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein
I'm currently finishing this one up (last like 20 pages) and it was also amazing. Without giving too much away….It's in the future, and about 20 years ago we sent a small crew of 4 married couples to Mars. Shortly after landing, nothing is heard from them…so later on we invent a new propulsion device and go to Mars with our huge ship…..and find a survivor…among an alien race of Martians…It's a great read, later he makes a religion on Earth. :D
Hope this helps a little, for teens looking for "Outside reading" English class or something read the Earth's Children Series…the first book is the shortest, but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th are all over 500 pages, and you'll be addicted too :D
I regret looking at this thread.
But I guess it's because I doubt too many people like reading. And atleast in my opinion reading discussions about literature is more boring than watching paint dry, and so is reading books..

You have the right to that opinion.
I used to be the same way, but the I read The Clan of the Cavebear
and I actually thought it was really fun to read, and now try to read when I have free time. Maybe you just need to find the right material for your literary adventures. ;)
