today i logged in to see that i was banned so i got really depressed and then i tried to appeal and realized it said only a 10 day ban. I have .5 black marks out of 10, and by using my huge brain i was able to calculate that i could get caught 18 more times and not be banned (10/.5 gives 20, i used one, so leaves 18 b4 ban) So if i get caught again will they jump straight to 10 marks or just keep adding .5 marks? It is my main so i am pretty happy

It depends what kind of evidence they have against you I think or how bad the offence is. Usually it's 10 black marks or a perm ban for autoing, at least in my case…

So you're pretty lucky…

They updated their system so it's different than it was before. But I am pretty sure you'll be banned for autoing on the second or third time.

And since your topic title asked:

lack marks are Jagex's way of keeping track of how an account is behaving in the game.

Black marks are earned for breaking the Rules of Conduct and the number of marks given is dependent on the severity of the offence.

Each time you gain a black mark you will be informed of this by an Inbox message, so please check here before sending a query to Customer Support asking why you were given them.

If the number of black marks on your account reach a certain level, your account will be removed from the game. Black marks may be added individually or multiple marks may be added for more severe offences.

If you feel that we have banned your account unfairly you can appeal your ban, here

i was wondering this question too (if we get banned permanently for getting caught the second tim) cause im finishing my 10 day ban in a few days, should i start autoing again? or give it some time?

you should definately not start autoing immidiately after being banned. Since if your banned your flagged for a good couple weeks. I would give it atleast a month or two.

Hey if you guys say that your ban gets over on a certain date, Jagex spy's that come here can end up tracking your account to srl so My advise is if you really want to say you got a 10 day ban to wait a day or 2 then Tell, then NEVER say when your account is getting unbanned.

the next time you get banned for the same thing you get 0.5 black marks again. but just don't auto on you're main etc.!

when you hit the 10 black marks you're perm banned.

the amount of black marks for breaking a rule differents each rule. like real item trading = 10 marks.

Either I was just unlucky, or they're back to giving 10 marks for autoing.

maybe you got caught in an endless loop and everybody else is just getting .5 cuz they "play" too much
