The Good Old Days...

I remember the good old days of runescape, when there was no member's world, all the characters were 2d, no firemaking, woodcutting, or runecrafting skills. When certs meant exchanging them at the draynor market stalls with those three guys with rhyming names (does anyone know the names?). Trading was a skill, and you could make a good amount of money trading items on runescape all day. There were no randoms, dragon armor, granite, or different metal arrows (they were all the same). No trimmed armor, no clan talk or clan capes, there was only one type of goblin, simple drop down menus, you had to walk everywhere which took a ridiculous amount of time.

And without all these "great" additions, the game was somehow better. It was simpler, more straightforward, and more fun to play.

I started playing in 2000. I have a blue monster mask and a santa hat, both of which I found on the ground at the midnight change during Christmas and Halloween. I actually used to have 4 masks and 2 santas, and I thought of them as just pure enjoyment so I ended up losing them eventually (now they are worth millions of gp) I used to have easter eggs, but I ate them all . These are the remnants leftover from the good times.

Did anyone start playing runescape in the old days? Does anyone remember the old days anymore? Please comment and we'll all reminisce on the good days of rs :(h):

I reminisced about this a long time ago. Don't bring up the old days, makes me sad. Those were the glory days.

I'm glad to see all the responses, and yes it hurts me deeply to talk about the old days of rs ::sob:: :(

Sp0rky great thread! I wasn't really into the cheating scene much in RSC untill the very end. I remember before fatigue (worst idea EVER) when you had to type in the random words to wake up I made my own auto-clicking/rs browser that could log you in and record your clicks then repeat them. It was so simple and would def beg for a banning if you used one like that now.
