Hiyah all,

Thought I'd pop in and drop you all a line about my proceedings. So far, everything is going according to plan. I have created a win-win situation. I have two employers now, my old UBF in Hilversum and Condor in Amsterdam. For this Facility I am going to build a new post production sound studio from scratch. I have years of experience using Pyramix and I am currently investigating this system' s controller. To give you an impression of what I am talking here are some screenshots of the Desk.

• 16 to 256 Input and Output Channels through MADI, AES-EBU, ADAT, TDIF, SDIF and Analog.
• Up to 256 buses with configurable mix, monitor, aux, talk-back and tape returns.
• 8, 16 or 24 fader plus dual operator 48 fader configurations.
• Each touch sensitive moving faders channel includes mute, solo, automation status and metering.
• Dedicated dual concentric touch sensitive EQ encoder functions plus dedicated aux and pan controls.
• Color touch TFT with 8 dedicated touch sensitive dual concentric encoders for comprehensive dynamics parameter control and system management functions.
• Comprehensive monitor section with sub-mixing of buses, external sources, down-mixing and talk-back.
• Joystick surround panning control as standard.
• Up to sixteen concurrent multi-stem mixes in surround, stereo and mono.
• Integrated Pyramix real-time 256 track digital audio workstation.
• Tactile jog-wheel editing bay option with user defined soft labelled hot-key and macro functions.
• Dynamic and Snapshot automation including Touch, Trim, Release, Versioning, Undo/Redo and more.
• Standard or High-definition video integration option capable of all Film/HDTV frame rates in PAL and NTSC.
• Operational sample rates from 44.1kHz to 384kHz, plus 48 channel DSD and DXD option.
• Proprietary effects at all sample rates on all channels and buses.
• Full support of VST plug-ins on all channels and buses.
• Integrates with any 3rd-party I/O interfaces, or Merging's Sphynx 2 extreme definition modular converter

On the other hand if that doesnt work out I could always work with the DS-00.

Thats going to be a big step back since I am used to working with the D4 This one

So you see, I have a lot on my mind these days. Cant find the time to even read the Forums :) let alone work on scripts. But I see you're all going well! Good to see we are on the same wavelength. Well, thats about all the time I can spare right now, but know you are in my thoughts :)

Awesome sound board!!!…I guess. I know nothing about them. Anyways cool for you :)

Lucky my brother isn't here, he wanted to become a sound engineer and would probably have had a similar reaction to me looking at high spec Nikon or Hasselblad camera gear :)

Small update:

I opened a PicasaWeb and filled it with some StudioPictures. Hopefully in a short while I will be playing with this

Fakawi you lucky lucky man, if I had a large enough budget to buy that equipment I would've died and gone to heaven. But I'm pretty happy cause I just ordered 5 new compressors :)

Welcome back for a brief time Fakawi! I hope everything is going as well as you make it sound. I wish I had the money to buy some of that stuff although I'd probably only use less that half of it… Remember… Have fun with it!

Today the bankruptcy of my beloved company has been announced. Too bad. I had a wonderful time there. Produced many movies, commercials, tv shows, lots of special sound design projects.


I will be forming my own company now, meaning I will spent less time on the forums, just as five years ago.

On the one hand it is sad to hear you'll be spending less time with us.

This is what I took it as as well(:

Ik was an ordinairy employee of the company. I have however my own clients and network. When the company went bankrupt, I bought the equipment and the goodwill and started a company of my own: Loudness.io. I still need to build audiostudio's, and there are sooooo many things to take into consideration now. Overall it's going quite well atm, but it is still a huge task to perform. Ow, please like my loudness.io page if you haven't already :)

I can't see the pictures in the first post. Anyway, good luck with your company. Would love to see those pictures :)
