Major Problem With Login

Ok So my username is "username" "space" "8o8"

for example hi 8o8

so when smart trys to log in with that it will not make the space between hi and 8o8

my guess is it has to do with the charachter after the space being a number.

i have already posted in Q&A but i have been waiting for a week and no one has seem to helped me

yeah, i noticed your post last week and was just about to ask… double post much? but i guess this is an exception.

Okay, what srl are you using? Scar? because it works perfectly with mine which has a space in it. also what kind of form are you using? Srl player form?

there could be a million possibilities, so lets try to narrow them down :)

it's possibly that in the base of scar, the call GetKeyCode(Text) does not consider a space a valid key. look in SRL\SRL\text.scar to see where i got that.

ok so i am using 3.14 scar srl 4 rev #13
i beleive it was an srl player form (the one in Ossm's willow banker)

i have another account that has a space and works with smart.
i believe that the number after the space throws it off

sorry for double post but no replies were coming in

Try chaning the number to a letter then and see if it logs in with that (well tries to) and then swap it back if it does.

You said with another account, but you didn't say you tried it with the current account. Don't tell me I'm spamming when I'm trying to help you. So I take it you didn't try what I suggested and checked if trying to login with something like 'hi b08' or 'hi_b08' to see if it works via that, in which case you know it's something to with it being a number, otherwise it's to do with you setting it up wrong or your SMART files aren't right.

Yes that does work so it does have something to do with it being a number.

i feel this is a major problem that needs to be solved in the next srl revision.

I just tested and SMART managed to attempt to login with a username with a space, so I would suggest re-installing the SMART files (timer has them in his topic/signature) and trying then.

dude i have reinstalled smart like 20 times because i use rev 10 for another script and rev 10 doesn't have smart so that wont help.

and i know it has something to do with it being a number , you dont understand the problem so stop posting and let someone else help me.

I tried it with a number and a space and it typed it out. Either you're setting it up wrong or you have serious bad luck when downloading the files.
Just to make sure though, your problem is that you tell it to type in 'hi 8o8' or 'randol 8o8' or wahtever, but for some reason it doesn't add the space? I tried logging in with 'hi 8o8' and it typed it out then tried to login (with no success of course, as I don't know the password/know if it's an account). If you still think that I don't know what I'm talking about etc. then just put my files (attatched) over yours and see if it works with numbers.

My username has a space in it, yet I can always login fine.
