iPod nano's can run videos if you install linux on them :)

I have the 30g ipod video… what would that be under… oh and my sister has an ipod touch =]

I use my cellphone (Nokia N70) as MP3 Player, also got a normal one, 512mb, but it's broken (some buttons don't work anymore).

I got the first big ass ipod 20 gig with color screen, but it has been dead for about 2 years now.. it wont start but i dont really care because i hate that mp3 player cuz mine is so big. So i have been using my nokia n95 (2gig) instead.. but now i have broken it because i got pissed of :/

I just bought a 8gig nano off my friend for approx. 18 dollars and 68 dollars deleted debt. Hows that?

Hahaha, anyway, I was looking to buy an iPod Nano about a year and a half ago when my sister got a new laptop for school and it came w/ an iPod Nano. She had a mini at the time, so she gave it to me, and now I've formatted it and ska-i-fied it and had it for the past year and a half. Free iPod FTW!

'Cause I thought The Classic had like 150gb+, could play vids, and was pretty bulky.

2nd or 3rd Generation Nano's. I'm talking about the Video's.

I am leaning towards selling my Nano, and buying a 5th Gen Video…

I get a bigger screen, 22 more gig of storage space, and iPodLinux :)

I do not own an iPod (yet, hoping to get an iPod Touch in the near future), but I do own a psp which I use as mp3 player

Classics are crap. Video's are amazing.

Classics:
-Encrypted firmware
-Ugly UI (IMO)
-Better processor, but what good if you can't use it (no custom apps, etc)

Videos:
-Easily hackable
-Easily themeable
-Okay standard UI, great with some touch ups.

ok, so the maximum amount of gigs i can have sucks, and quite honestly, PSP sucks if all you want is a music player/Video Player

2gig iPod Nano non-video, came with my computer… its been totally full since I got it.
4gig iPod Mini - doesn't work anymore. The battery died and I got the nano above free with my new computer so I didn't bother trying to fix the battery.
Also have a phone with a 2gig micro card which can play music, but I don't have anything on there atm since I don't need it.

Still got the 4gig ipod mini?

But it can be used as an MP3 player. Like, a phone isn't an MP3 player, but loads of people use it as one anyway.

Got it in 2004. Left it in snow for 3 weeks by accident. Dropped it on the asphalt numerous amounts of times. Worked fine until last year the battery died, probably would still work fine if I replaced it.

Now it makes a nice paperweight :)

Sorry for the offtopic, but question(s): How moddable is it? Have you tried to mod it? Know of any alternate firmware/os available (ie, ipodlinux)?

im posting from my touch 16gb jailbroken 1.1.2 i also have a 1st gen nano with ipod linux,rockbox and the apple firmware is hacked with ipod wizard.

@runescapian mxtube is a must, so is the gba,snes,psx and genesis emulators

I own a pink 4gb iPod Mini, will have to replace it soon though since the battery is getting a bit unreliable and it sometimes dies at 90% battery.

Couldn't vote though since it wasn't in the list.

There's only one small (pretty easy) part where you just might end up breaking it. Trust me, the iPod Touch isn't really worth it until you jailbreak it ;)

i dont own an ipod. i think its overrated. many other players that are better, cheper. dont give in to peer pressrue

Hahah I have to agree with you, recently got an iPod touch. I don't see whats so "amazing" about it.. Especially how you must jailbreak it to have it do something useful.

I use my PSP to listen to music, + play games and watch movies.

Yeah, and I have an iPod Shuffle too.

All jailbreaking is nowadays is basically downloading a program and running it :p

It's difficult for some people, and may mess up your iphone/itouch.

Ipod's sound is crappy ;)

I use a PSP, but if you really wanted good sound, I-River is the way to go.
