SRL Members Application Tool!

Got a name, now. I been testing alot lately went through members application forum and took almost every application script on the page into the script, looks really good, everyone who recived members by alot was over 75+ mark on script, people who were close to making it in 50-60. So i guess its preety accurate atm.

I updated it aswell making the marks more fair…

So here it is:

That script is pretty cool. My air crafter scored an 83 and the script I applied to members with scored a 55.

This could be released as a guideline to the junior members considering applying. I think it'd be helpful to them to know approximately how good their script has to be.

Lol.. My current main script scores 46 and the script that got me into members with a 19:3 vote only scored 27.. :duh:

I like the idea but unfortunately I don't think it's practicle as there are too many variables.. inovation is subjective and you just can't program for every possible scenario..

The other problem is that people become dependant upon a score and try and game the program rather than program to improve..

First script i ever wrote was a earth runecrafter, it scored -82, lol

Well, someone could just put a shitload of TDTMPointDefs etc, am I correct?

A system that would check if there is a begin or variables declared after the function name or something would be nice :)

I dont think it should judge you on "worthiness" it should just pump out raw stats of the script…to help people actually SEE what they have in there instead of guessing with a quick scan.

Have it print out how many times it uses each thing ;)

I Got a 52 on my members app script, which had a minor lead of 2 yeses. TAKE THAT :p
Also I got a 55 on my stupid-not-finished hybrid script, so I would approve of this. :D

Lol i got 55% with my guild miner pay script.
Thats the same as the VYC?? Might need to tweak your script a little bit.

if u mean what i think u mean then…this isnt to replace applying, its just to tell u if your script is good enough for your to try applying. So putting stuff way to the right wouldnt help you at all.

Yea this definately needs some fixes but its a good idea and could cut down on some crap apps

Its already been proven that you can't use a computer to do a task where adaptability is needed.


Say I come up with an ingenious idea that does not need as many 'required' procedures, the script would not know this, and the applicant might be discouraged if they use this.

That is because they aren't updated…

For my current script: 74

Well look, if you use a script that is updated and doesnt have findfastrandoms, then you should get a preety high score. Ill try umm, wizzy's ess miner see what that gets…. So……….. Update the scripts you are using and ill take the minusing out a bit, its a bit much.

Any other SRL Member worthy things that could get you in? Post em :)

EDIT** This is only a rough suggestion for an applier to see if there script is good enough, its not meant to be 100% accurate, its like a mini guide for junior members.. Just a help tool.

Its mainly for those annoying noobs who apply with shit ass scripts like writeln('hello'); auto talkers, etc..

Narcles auto fighter isnt SRL members material. Variable yew cutter is only 69%. Id have to call this thing a tidbit harsh.

does it give extra points for forms? cuz forms make everything better :)

EDIT: and instead of having it add a bunch of points for various things would it be possible to make it score things out of like 200 and every thing is a certain percentage of that 100? then u can get bonus points for each extra thing. Then u wouldnt have to edit anything if u needed to add something, you'd just add that into the percentage then ur done. And it makes sense to me but im wierd sometimes when explaining things so… :p

Nice work. Still I managed to get a mark of 20 with writing things like

I just put those and a couple of other things in, totally not scriptable wouldn't compile or anything, no semicolons or even parameters… so theres no way it can be used to accept members, but I would like to see what my script gets lol. Someone should do it on a wizzy script too :p

I agree with gerachaut (sorry bout spelling of name, it won't copy it :p the dude with an orange for his avatr) that it should print out stats, this can then be used when someone applies to give the members voting a heads up on what the script contains ;)

I think this worked a little since we get much less applys! :D

LOL i got 7 yes and 1 no, all admins that voted except for solarwind lolz

I just used it again to see what my mining guild miner gets (it is not finished yet, only the walking, which are 1024 lines of code :eek:), and it got a 76, even though it wouldn't even compile (has some spelling mistakes I still need to iron ou). But i guess, it is pretty good, using all walking techniques, and my own mouse, wait and autocoloring, functions. :D
Hmm… I wonder what it will get once I finish it. :)
