I voted kaspersky.

What FEAR said, Zone Alarm all the way.
I found a free key for it, and it has always allowed me to update it over the net. It won't expire until year 2153.
I use Zone Alarm Security Suite on my 2 main computers. Its Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam. I run on dial-up and it actually speeds up my connection because I set security to high and manually monitor my connection. I control every program that accesses the net or tries too.
@AVG
It sucks now, don't use it!

You forgot to rate 'Brain'. Its been proven most effective against twelve year old hacker's viruses, but it's effectiveness may vary against other forms.

AVG no dout about it. I've got the paid for version, but heres a link to the free one here. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/download-free-anti-virus/us/frt/0 I've never had virus ever with AVGthats done any harm to my computer and I download stuff all the time. If it's infected then it moves it to the virus vault almost instantley.
