*Will update within the month of Sep and Oct*

#1 Avoid coordinate

When you are making/using a script, always try to avoid using fixed coordinates.
Don't use auto typer/clicker which type/click xx spot every xx second, they will get you banned. Humans can't type that fast or always starts to type every xx second any ways. And always use +random, DTMs. Because they were made for a reason, so use it.

#2 Client

Always use an official/not modified rs Client, Try not to use the ones from mopar, sythe and rs bot, because Jagex can ban you for Rule #7.
And don’t use client hacking macros, like rs bot and nexus. Not only its hacking client, but also macro at the same time. Double the rule breaking, double the ban.


#3 Check up

Always try to stay around your computer while its macroing, just in case if there is a random or moderators.
Scar can find moderators fine, but there are some random events that scar can’t find, since Jagex also record how you handle your random events. If every time when scar find’s Demon or Prison Pete, and it logs you off, the chance of getting a ban will increase.

If you want to stop the script from logging you off when ever it finds an unsolvable random event.
Go toSrl/Srl/Core/antirandoms/AntiRandoms/AntiRandoms.scar find the random event you would like to stop from logging out, and then change the logging out to

TerminateScript;

If you are not using smart, or you don’t mind disabling it once in a while. Talk to other peoples. Not only will it make Jagex think that you are not macroing, but also it will prevent people from reporting you.



Character

When creating accounts for army, try to create them in different time and at different computer (outside of your house), because if Jagex caught one guy from your army and if they check other accounts from the same ip, or maybe the time it was created, they will probably think that those guys are autoers.
Try to get your character to around level 40-50 before you start macroing, not only will your character last longer against random, but also it will decrease the possible suspicion from other players that you are a macroer. Armour will also help look less suspicious, and if you don’t want to die and lose your armour, you can wear cheap stuff like d hide or random event armour.

Who remember 2007 January - July? rs was over filled with people from rsdemon, lvl 3s were every where. 99% of them were default clothing any with a bronze axe in its hand… Well a lot of people where pissed about that, so they starts to report every low level accounts with default clothing.
Even now, there are stupid people who macro with lvl 3 with default clothing.
So get your account level up and change your god damn cloth.

Jagex cache
Here is a explaintion from Jagex about their little file.
Description:
When ever you load an java applet from Jagex, Jagex will store a java cache folder on your computer.
It contains:
The time you spend on the java applet (This could be any log in applet, rs and funorb).
The time you spend on the web site.
Your Ip.
And other stuff said on the picture above.

UNSIGNED:

Unsigned runescape doesn't save as much as information on your computer. ALWAYS USE UNSIGNED!

Careful when you are deleting your Jagex’s Cache, because I found that it will actually help your character stay alive
Always delete Jagex's folders on your computer, you can find it at (the drive you've installed your operating system, which doesn't nesscerly be C )>The windows folder(windows, winnt…etc)> and find a folder name and .jagex_cache_32, and press Delete (If you have a web browser open, and you’ve ran any Jagex applet on it, you still need to close the entire browser)
Or you could try this

make some random garbage in Notepad change the extension, put the file where it goes and then make it read only to prevent Jagex from writing over it.

Note: this does help you in a way, but then jagex will make a new folder in first page of C: or system drive, so its just easier to find.

Privacy
Never reveal your rsn. When posting pictures on rs cheating/rwt/macroing sites. always blur out your rsn and some of the stats with paint or Photoshop. When registering a account on a rs cheating/rwt/macroing sites, never register with your real rsn, and also never say your rsn in public on those sites, and never say you are macroing in game.



Consequences for macroing


Permanent ban
This is quite rare now days because Jagex give you 0.5 black mark (+10 day ban) instead of 10.
BUT if you appeal your 0.5, you will have the chance of getting your 0.5 turn into 10. I do not know the reason why do Jagex do that, but that is what happens.

0.5 Black mark & 10 day ban
This is the type of ban you’ll probably get when you macro. Unless you are using an script with a very good anti ban, or if you customize some of the procedures. You will have the following.

0 Black mark & 10 day ban
This is a rule 7 ban, but it has no black marks. There are 2 ways to get this.
#1
Use a flawless script with very good anti ban, or customize it so you’ll be different from every one else who use it.
#2
Be very active while you are macroing. Talk to your friends, and talk to other people.
I got 1-80+ fletching in 3 days, and got this. Because I was watching movies (watched 30+ movies omg) and talking to noobs while doing this. (well deserved)

Ban for no reason
This is more known as Legacy Punishment or Permanent Ban. This can be gained NOT only from macroing (In my opinion, this is IMPOSSIBLE to gain from macroing unless you macroed 1-99 without getting ban).
Basically this is what Jagex do when they are pissed, the ban can last from 10 days (0.5 black mark) to Permanent ban (10 full black mark).
Legacy Punishment is usually gained from scamming (I was in ancient pkers, and couple of us gotten this from luring).
Permanent Ban is usually gained from RWT, or do something that is Illegal but its not stated in the rule (Jagex’s rule isn’t perfect, and when you fit through one of thoses loop holes, Jagex get pissed and ban you).

Mute or not
If you are muted, you better watch your account even more closely, because jagex will NOT care of your 'disability". In the past, if they come to check on you, you CAN NOT simply not talk, you must do emote, and many people start to say "I was muted!" even if the report is from an random person that you would normally ignore, they don't care. Now, they created the "safe chat" or more like "a new tool that will help our horrifying bad macroing detecting system". but, now we can use it against them, because we can now detect them easily with bit maps, (I've been absent from srl for about 3 month, so I am not sure if we can do it atm) but if we can, you should probably add it to your script.

Talk about making your chars atleast 20+ combat and having them wear stuff legits would normally wear. Not using autotalking in antibans, unless it is an autoresponder…

Also talk about how not to auto for too long of time periods and to take breaks from autoing every once in a while. Changing the thing that you auto is a good idea too.

Great post. I think one of the main messages here is not to get greedy.

One question for an SRL member: Is autoing through a virtual machine actually worth all the effort and hd space? (I know its less with tinyxp, but still I need every bit on my school lap top) If I use unsigned applets and follow all the good practices of autoing isn't that enough?

nah, don't auto on vm, don't even use vm…

if your computer is slow, then get a duo core, or if your fan has a problem, get a better fan (20 buck max)

Also, MAKE SURE you change account every few hours (6 at max).

i don't see much point in that,

I think he means to switch players, as in NextPlayer(True);, so you don't stay logged on for 6+ hours. (Actually 60 mins max is the average I use)

Very good tutorial M_A_I_N. Its very accurate on how not to be banned. the only thing i don't like is saying don't auto overnight. i think that this should be changed to "don't auto overnight unless your script is built for it." I have multiple non-released scripts that are 100% meant to run overnight for a couple of reasons:
a)less people=less chance of ban
b)Its nighttime, most mods are probably sleeping
c)My scripts are made for long periods of time. and overnight=long period of time.

I just thought I would point out that one of the possible problems is unsolveable random's like the dragon school. Jagex probably keeps track of your record on solving randoms… if you get out of the random by getting everything wrong or else by logging out, do it a few times and they won't care. Do it a lot of times and they could easily keep track of that and ban you for it. If your computer makes a noise or flashes an alert onscreen when it runs in to a random it can't fix then (if you're near the comp) you could solve the random. It's a bad idea to 100% deal with certain random's by just failing.

i was just planning on either making a script or dowloading one then waiting 5 minuets to see if it wrks and then go to the mall or somthing but i might actullay stay there and watch it and use the unsigned client (i always use the first one signed) any other pointers

lol @ tut No. 8> Havent autoed untill i reached around lvl 70, im 77 combat now, all f2p skills are over 40. would that put me in higher risk lol. only thing i really auto on is, mining witch i now got to lvl 70 ^^ Mining addy now. [#14] Rockman's Powerminer V3.3> Not sure if its ban proof. But something that was funny and a good job on the scripter, it solved a box random [solves randoms fairly signifigantly well] and it gave me 159 gold, the script typed in Lol, not enough..

You make some good points. I guess im gonna have to learn a better way to find objects because in the script im making at the moment, the mouse seems to be shooting all over the screen and stopping over one type of colour. Obvious enough? :rolleyes:

if you were referring to "scarscape" then the answer is…

because scar scape is not a official client, which you could get banned from, but scarscape has its own advantages, like no random color, fixed compass. so if you wish to use it, don't use it too much

I didn't know about the unsigned thing before and I have autoed a little now and haven't got banned so far. Hopfully it will remain that way, and this tut increased the chanses that it will.

Using unsigned client will increase your chance of getting banned by A LOT trust me, my m8 was using an auto curser for over 3 weeks, and he was always on unsigned, and then he went to his cottage for like an other week, and he was on signed , and got banned 3 days after he started using signed

All I really know bout autoing is to use trusted scripts. Check to see if it looks good. (anti random , anti ban, all the good stuff )Watch it closely when first using. If getting lots of randoms drop the items from bank. Don't auto the same hour every hour.

Also, I know nothing about .file_store_32 suppose this is where all your runescape files are stored I believe. How often should you delete this and what files are so mean that you got to delete this folder. =( some1 asked question already no answer tho

you don't need to delet the entire .jagex folders, only the .uid files, and you should delet them when ever you feel like not getting your army banned…etc

Can you explain how deleting the uid files prevents or help you from not getting banned? Also is it safe to run an autofighter over night? Someone told me that rs won't detect you.

I use proxy when making accounts. Is it good idea?

if you use proxy to make accounts… it depends…

for example:

you live in canada, and you use a uk proxie to creat a account, and after you created. you logged in with out proxie, which means your account just flied accross a ocean, then your account would be added to one of jagex's "look out list" , (possibly)

i suggest go to public library or internet cafe, and also create them at seperate times, and remember to remove the jagex's .uids after every session of autoing

the .uids are from when you play the signed verion of rs. it contains informations about your account (which i don't know what it is) but it probably has your mouse movement and your keystrokes recorded in there, which jagex can "examine" for possibility of macroing

I heard deleting the UID file is the same as deleting the whole thing, not sure though.. Good guide never the less.

Also add that if you have the knowledge and time, modify the scripts slightly so that you use a semi-unique script. When too many people use the same one, it could be slightly more detectable.

sadly, as far as FCR goes. I myself have died twice. So if anyone else has died, it is more than 2.

But it's nothing against his script. I have gotten some serious stats from it. Well worth 2 deaths.

#1 JAGEX IS STARTING TO GIVE OUT PERM BANNS FOR RULE 7 AGAIN!!! INSTEAD OF 0.5!!!!

I don't think that's 100% right, becaus my main got 0.5 black dots and a 10 day bann yesterday. Seems like it's the second time they will perm bann you if you get cought for rule 7. Another of my chars got 0.5 the first time and got perm banned the second time.
Or maby they didn't perm bann him becaus he's member..? What do you think?

when rsdemon when to private (and jagex took out wilderness) they didn't give out 10 black mark bans for couple of month (only 0.5). And now they are giving away them again (some times you will get 0.5s too, just don't apeal it).

Ive had this bot i used for about idk 2 days in a row
best bot out there atm. called Hy71194\'s Fight Cave Runner really amazing bot
logs out and logs back in switches worlds and u lvl up like crazy!

(i know im not junior memb the bot was on my friends comp thats how i know about it and yes he did run it for 6 days gained about idk from lvl 60 range till lvl 89)

non autoer names and clothes and the idea of less then 6 hours a day of autoing is probly the most crucial part of not geting bant

If you didn't read, jagex's cache have some <encrypted> information in it which records w/e the <censer> you do on your rs

Coordinates stuff is pure bullshit, I've had cord clicks on my private scripts and I'm yet to score a ban, as far as you have it (333,333,6,6) its not more detectable than using other methods, as far as its randomized. Also, what you should add is, best antiban is no antiban at all, no damn human fizzles his mouse every fourfive seconds and clicks out a random tab. The closer to human speed you do things, the lower the chances of bans are. Ofcourse they figure youre macroing if youre averaging 10k xp a hour when legit gets 40-50k a hour.

My 2 cents.

From everything I've seen and read so far… bans are unpredictable and random. I believe the chances of getting banned are lessened if your script emulates human control closer but not eliminated. Other people have simply had luck where they a) havn't been reported or b) their macroing activity was overlooked by Jagex.

When creating accounts for army, try to create them in different time and at different computer (outside of your house), because if Jagex caught one guy from your army and if they check other accounts from the same ip, or maybe the time it was created, they will probably think that those guys are autoers.

Yes, proxy will work wonders. Unless you are creating from the rs client.

Nice tut, but the title shoud had been "how to decrease the risk of getting banned while autoing" because you really cant secure you'reself 100% against a ban in rs, and sometimes you can use a modified client, without getting detected by a mod, happened to me on RSCA, i had a awsome id searching private bot =D ( i didnt make it, i suck at java, lol), but apart from that well written =D

I did too but I did this early 2008 when bots were out of control and you could get away with a lot more.
